ok 20Lbs is a good weight, sorry i see soooo many people with Pembrokes and they weigh like 50 lbs-no exaggerating! it is so sad! I've owned Corgis for decades, though I prefer Cardigans-either breed has a tendency to bulk up quick and their dwarf joints and long spines can not tolerate extra belly weight. They really do get orthopedic problems from stairs and doing stairs too young can wreck their legs.

He's a DOLL, but PLEASE!!! Put him on a DIET!!!! With those very short legs, and carrying that much EXTRA weight, and from the looks of him NOW, I would bet he is AT LEAST 10 pounds overweight!!! Don't ruin his back by having him so fat, sure he's young right now, but dogs, like humans DO more easily gain weight, and for HIM, you are doing NO FAVORS having him this fat, this young. It WILL give him problems down the road. If you love him, you will get his weight down now!!!

Its the angle at which I was cradling him and video recording that makes him look fat." Plus, in her other videos, she says Butterball is ~20bls, which is a perfectly healthy weight for a corgi. I know you were probably just trying to help because over-feeding an animal IS a serious problem, but I think your concern would be better put to use elsewhere.
