Lyric for lyric, emotion for emotion, Frank Ocean's version is a notch above Coldplay's. Obviously we all have a huge respect for Coldplay. Without them, there would be no Strawberry Swing period. And it's clear Frank used the main melodies. He just made the song more personal. That's why it works.
