Her Portuguese is so good that I wondered if she were a native Brazilian. I see this translated as "Waters of May" but the real connotation of the lyrics is not that of waters, or a river, so much as it is about the city of Rio in May, after Carnaval, when people have gone back to their lives and are feeling the "saude" of missing that special person they had an affair with. That is basically the gist of the lyrics.

I meant to say "saudade," that loneliness of returning from the greatest experience of your life, something so wonderful that you can't describe it, from that back to a life that is dull and inadequate, where that one marvelous time lives on, but only in the most cherished part of ones memory.

I love 'em both. it would be very hard to make a choice.....and the chihuly pieces are wonderful.. I saw them in San Francisco, where they caused quite a controversy..
