@Unblacken I beg to differ. I remember several thrash bands in the late 80's early 90's covering the pop dross in the charts. I can never remember the band except they were American but they did a live cover MC Hammer's 'You Can't Touch This' which was utterly brilliant. Nowadays you can cover a song and post it in a few hours, that's why there are so many. Anthrax also did a few hip-hop covers about the same time so it's hardly new.

I like this cover. Metal dudes hate it because it is a pop song; and pop lovers hate it because it is a metal song.
