I downloaded the game just yesterday...very very cool, but my version has A LOT of contrast and brightness and I had to set the tv settings on a lower level than usual if I didn't want to burn my eyes !!!!
The problem with game developer companies these days is they try to create such high quality games, but then in the end they face the problem with very people having the computers to even play the games.

@killa58769 what's your tongue mister. they first said it they were using the 7000 series. but now its the HD6670, which is for PC gaming an entry card. even if it supports DX11. its still going to under perform. and it won't be capable to run the latest games in 1080p. unless your happy with 5 to 10 fps. i know they are trying to squeeze anything out the current consoles. but each game they will have to lower down the resolution to keep any game playable.

Now try making a computer with identical specs to an xbox 360 and see if you can make it play crysis 1. Just because the card seems under-powered doesn't mean the games will not be impressive. Since the system does not have to deal with a complex OS in the background, that 6670 is going to have a lot more power than you realize.
@luckygodzilla95 keep in mind that crysis 1 doesn't run in 720P for consoles. and the game doesn't even run a steady 30 fps. it even dips down to low 20's. with the PC version you can run native 1080p, and it runs well over 30 fps on very high. the HD6670 is however an entry card. it should play games, but on a much lower resolution than most of he mid to high end GPU's. if this was being used for next xbox. it would only be possible for 720p native resolution.

I recommend evryone skipping the next gen consoles and geting a gaming pc. An i5 PC is perfect to have for gaming and it's 600$ or LESS, all you have to do is set the machine up with a good graphics card and you are playing the most top notch top quality games ever. While next gen consoles are gona be 600$ or MORE plus all that other shit you need with it, i just think it's better. PC: All out mods and endless fun. Consoles: Limited Limited Limited.

@GraveUypo it's what they did last time. Plus if you look at the games released in the beginning of every console, the graphics are bad. Because they don't know how to code for it, they haven't found all the tricks yet. Look at the games being released now for 360 and ps3 compared to what was released 6 years ago. if you want to wait 6 years for what we consider barely acceptable graphics now, then go and spend lots of cash on the console and on the games. And no modding available.
Well, considering the 360 is using hardware from like 2 years before it's release and can put out what you're seeing in this video, I wouldn't call that a bad thing. If the next xbox uses any equivalent of the HD6670, than it will probably be able to live up to those "avatar" claims.
@xalener nope. the HD6670 is budget card. its only meant to play at 720p with at least 30 fps on most games. it doesn't even come close to what avatar shown. even with the optimization, it still fails to deliver next-gen experience. i really hope Sony does it right.
There's no "nope" dude. You're not taking into account the fact that the consoles are closed systems (devs can do any god-damn thing they want to the software while the game is running) and there's damn near no excess software overhead processing at all like there would be in a PC. The 360 uses tech from fucking 2003. Do you think a computer from 2003 with equal specs to the 360 could run Gears of War 3? People were still struggling with Doom 3 at the time, man.
@xalener for your account. nope does exist. look it up. the X360 does use hardware from 2005 !!! and not 2003. the reason why developers can still work with the such a system. its because they do allot of optimization. but they still have to do allot of sacrifices in order to maintain a steady performance. most of the games doesn't even run at 720p. because they pretty much reached the limits years ago. doom 3 was released in 2004. even the old xbox could run it.
Doom 3 had to be cut to hell *rimshot* to work on the original xbox, dude. And yes, cuts have to be made to let decent looking games run on current console hardware, but I would not call them sacrifices. I for one do not miss those 200 pixels missing from Halo: Reach or Gears 3 or Battlefield 3 (even though I play that on PC). Consider the fact that the best looking 360/ ps3 games still look pretty damn good even when compared to the PC's best. It can only get better.
@xalener true. but keep in mind. that most PC games are straight ports from consoles. that's why the jump is very small most of the time. games like BF3 vs consoles. there's a huge difference to be seen. but i already notice that console games has reached there limits. i haven't seen many games, that impress me these days.
and the extra pixels does make the game look better. HD is becoming a standard definition these days. as for the xbox next-gen. i probably skip it.

but if they start with 250. i will not waste my time on them. i want to see a big boost between each generation. so they have to aim at higher prices at launch. but most people will wait a year after a system has been released.
Take into account that the Xbox 360 uses a card on par with the ATI X1900 or there round about with a mear 16 shader processors when compared to the AMD/ATI HD 6670 and if you take into account the lack of a hefty operating system that us PC users have to put up with the new xbox should be able to handle 1080p@60 with ease in theory. Just depends on the skill of the devs.
PS3's Uncharted is a prime example, no installs, no loading and fantastic but the PS3's hardware is meh.

I'm not sure if anyone will know, but why can't consoles render oceans realistically? They always have to use tricks with reflections and lighting to make it look good. But on PC the oceans look photorealistic.

The water graphics are fine on this game for console with its limitations. It's not like N64 or PS1 graphics. Too many people compare PC to Xbox when the differences are minor to not say it's "a huuuuge difference". I'm satisfied with the xbox quality of this game. It's fine. I'm no so anal about some water graphics being the same as PC.

I for one would love a PC but I need to pay to keep my car on the road, food, etc. It I had the money to spare I would love a PC but I simply don't. I'm not complaining that this is on consoles, its nice that it is, I just hate seeing some of these comments I guess. I'm sure I'll get a PC eventually, but until then I'm fine with my Xbox.

PC doesn't have to be expensive. you can buy each component separately, and put together once you have all the parts. i don't have a car either. because a driving license is simply too expensive to get at my place.

PC is 4 years old still runs new games perfectly. If I weighed up the cost if not equal, the xbox would have probably cost more in total. Initially the PC cost more.

@TekGR well. that's because CryEngine 3 was made for consoles.
back in 2007. it was not possible to release Crysis 1 on consoles. because CryEngine 2 was a very demanding. back when it came out. even PC hardware wasn't capable enough to run it maxed out. as of today. its still a benchmark game. but as soon as they started working on CryEngine 3. it was finally possible to create Crysis 1 for consoles. but even than. they had to do allot of sacrifices to make it playable. hope this helps.
No offense, but I think it's the most annoying thing in the world when you watch gameplays or reviews/walkthroughs of games, and when the player that you're watching gets into the menu, they just fiddle with the settings for 5 minutes.

im perfectly happy with the xboxs graphics and performance on this game. dont need state of the art graphics to enjoy, just a great game and a reliable system to play it on.

I recommend evryone skipping the next gen consoles and geting a gaming pc. An i5 PC is perfect to have for gaming and it's 600$ or LESS, all you have to do is set the machine up with a good graphics card and you are playing the most top notch top quality games ever. While next gen consoles are gona be 600$ or MORE plus all that other shit you need with it, i just think it's better. PC: All out mods and endless fun. Consoles: Limited Limited Limited.

Because they don't know how to code for it, they haven't found all the tricks yet. Look at the games being released now for 360 and ps3 compared to what was released 6 years ago. if you want to wait 6 years for what we consider barely acceptable graphics now, then go and spend lots of cash on the console and on the games. And no modding available.

Well, considering the 360 is using hardware from like 2 years before it's release and can put out what you're seeing in this video, I wouldn't call that a bad thing. If the next xbox uses any equivalent of the HD6670, than it will probably be able to live up to those "avatar" claims.

@xalener nope. the HD6670 is budget card. its only meant to play at 720p with at least 30 fps on most games. it doesn't even come close to what avatar shown. even with the optimization, it still fails to deliver next-gen experience. i really hope Sony does it right.

There's no "nope" dude. You're not taking into account the fact that the consoles are closed systems (devs can do any god-damn thing they want to the software while the game is running) and there's damn near no excess software overhead processing at all like there would be in a PC. The 360 uses tech from fucking 2003. Do you think a computer from 2003 with equal specs to the 360 could run Gears of War 3? People were still struggling with Doom 3 at the time, man.

@xalener for your account. nope does exist. look it up. the X360 does use hardware from 2005 !!! and not 2003. the reason why developers can still work with the such a system. its because they do allot of optimization. but they still have to do allot of sacrifices in order to maintain a steady performance. most of the games doesn't even run at 720p. because they pretty much reached the limits years ago. doom 3 was released in 2004. even the old xbox could run it.

Doom 3 had to be cut to hell *rimshot* to work on the original xbox, dude. And yes, cuts have to be made to let decent looking games run on current console hardware, but I would not call them sacrifices. I for one do not miss those 200 pixels missing from Halo: Reach or Gears 3 or Battlefield 3 (even though I play that on PC). Consider the fact that the best looking 360/ ps3 games still look pretty damn good even when compared to the PC's best. It can only get better.

@xalener true. but keep in mind. that most PC games are straight ports from consoles. that's why the jump is very small most of the time. games like BF3 vs consoles. there's a huge difference to be seen. but i already notice that console games has reached there limits. i haven't seen many games, that impress me these days.
and the extra pixels does make the game look better. HD is becoming a standard definition these days. as for the xbox next-gen. i probably skip it.

Take into account that the Xbox 360 uses a card on par with the ATI X1900 or there round about with a mear 16 shader processors when compared to the AMD/ATI HD 6670 and if you take into account the lack of a hefty operating system that us PC users have to put up with the new xbox should be able to handle 1080p@60 with ease in theory. Just depends on the skill of the devs.
PS3's Uncharted is a prime example, no installs, no loading and fantastic but the PS3's hardware is meh.

I'm not sure if anyone will know, but why can't consoles render oceans realistically? They always have to use tricks with reflections and lighting to make it look good. But on PC the oceans look photorealistic.

I for one would love a PC but I need to pay to keep my car on the road, food, etc. It I had the money to spare I would love a PC but I simply don't. PC is 4 years old still runs new games perfectly. If I weighed up the cost if not equal, the xbox would have probably cost more in total. Initially the PC cost more.

@TekGR well. that's because CryEngine 3 was made for consoles.
back in 2007. it was not possible to release Crysis 1 on consoles. because CryEngine 2 was a very demanding. back when it came out. even PC hardware wasn't capable enough to run it maxed out. as of today. its still a benchmark game. but as soon as they started working on CryEngine 3. it was finally possible to create Crysis 1 for consoles. but even than. they had to do allot of sacrifices to make it playable. hope this helps.
