  • What a great song!!

    GRANDA MALHA CARAGOOOOOOOO!!!

  • one of the best in the 80's. They should have gotten more recognition for this album.

  • this song is one of my fave's. very nice

  • Eb Ab for intro Eb for verse C# B Ab for chorus I think

  • It's CRAZY how good this song still is. The guitar solo is insane!

  • KOMMATARA!!!!!!!!

    Fantastic brilliant song..great bass!!!!!

  • I've gone through 2 copies of this record, finally bought the cd. Such a great listen!

  • THanks for posting! Happy Halloween 2010.

  • tell me when it's over...

    what an album!

  • I saw Steve Wynn do this song last night with the Miracle Three. It was still amazing. Check him out: stevewynn . net

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Legendary album from a great Band ! I miss the 80`s !!

  • I'm agree with lisacti: I like Velvet but this Albun is better then theirs ...

  • Will forever be one of my favorite Rock albums. Never will you hear better use of feedback and it sounds glorious all over the record. "When You Mile" is just awesome, but yeah, you pretty much have to hear this from start to finish. No filler at all, and the band's next album, "Medicine Show" is pretty great in it's own right and is getting a re-release this year. Please, PLEASE discover this band if you call yourself a Rock fan!

  • I've always loved this track - the whole album is awesome. But unfortunately this version of Halloween is a little speeded up... did you have the pitch shift on your turntable on?

    Anyway, good work for posting...

  • Very Jesus and Mary Chainy.

  • Scary good!

  • The solo is fucking bossy. Something tells me Sonic Youth were influenced by this band. You can hear it in their song Schizophrenia, it has similar chord progressions.

  • Oh hell yeah.

I remember this from my early college days.

This and "White Light/White Heat" from the Velvet Underground, and let's not forget "Funhouse" by the Stooges or REM's "Murmur" or "Under the Big Black Sun" by X. Damn, so much good music in the 80s.

  • WOW! This a great one that time forgot! Thanks for posting it.

  • The worthy heirs of the Velvet Underground! Genius!

  • The album of my youth.

    The memories are endless.

    Don't get any better.

  • The Days of Wine and Roses is a definite desert island disc.

  • My GOD how I love Karl Precoda's playing.

  • just got this vinyl..the french version & their first ep..whawhoo...just getting into them..is that a good thing??

  • 1983 Newport Beach on a sultry summer night-some sort of red wine reflecting in the moonlight-DS wailing-perfection

  • just discovered this band. i think i just came. twice. :D

  • great comment! check out the rest of this album and you'll come several times more

  • @TimeWarper75 U R so right mate.

    Great band great album.

    Thanks for the upload.

  • Dang, and I thought I was a fan of this song. Lol :D

  • Great band spent alot of time at Ragis thanx to Tony t and live shows were clean sounding as good as there records but never failed I always got stuck behind the cement pole didn't mater these guys are timeless touch of this band kind of v u but I think if you seen them live they were fn great on there own

  • one of my top 5 albums ever. this was a natural progression for me from the velvet underground. forever grateful to the guy at the record store all those years ago who turned me on to this. genius.

  • @lisacti Very Grateful Dead of him.

  • This song is too cool for words.

  • I still have this record--it is great!

  • a touch of radiohead.........ummmmm yummy

  • @BxOxIxNxK

Sorry to be a nit-picky snob, but Radiohead has a touch of Dream Syndicate, not the other way around.

Either way, it is a good thing to like DS. :)

  • had a band and we covered days of wine and roses....wild days:)

    ty for posting this.

  • Thanks for the post. I can share with my 6 and 4 year old kids.

  • They were the Pixies before the Pixies.

  • Greeting from Pittsburgh....thanks for posting this...it brought back some great memories.

  • yeah man. I love this band and have for about 26 years. Wore 2 albums and 2 cassettes out. Love love love them. Thanks for the memories.

  • These guys were the best - even better live! They always reminded me of The Velvet Underground.

  • is it the same bass used by the bassist of joy division? :) freaky similar!!

    nice band!!!

  • Never saw the Precoda version of the Dream Syndicate, but I saw the later incarnation with Paul Cutler (45 Grave) on guitar a half dozens times. Halloween was always a live show highlight, Wynn and Cutler really know how to do the wild guitar freakouts.

  • I haven't heard this for years and years and years and then some more years. It still sounds great! Thanks, TimeWarper75.

  • Happy to help :)

  • Can you post "Until Lately"?

  • Certainly, I'll have it up this week

  • I had it up for 5 minutes yesterday until the record company forced me to take it down. Sorry :(

  • @TimeWarper75 Same to me with CSN&Y ''Almost cut my hair'' :(.Music is for listening&enjoying, not for buy/sell shit.

  • @TimeWarper75 ya i've tried to put up a bunch of songs from this album, seems that only Halloween isn't removed, sad 'cause it's such a good album.

  • Never heard of these guys. Pretty good
