@JMMREVIEW At this time, its only confirmed for Japan, plus history shows us that previous Dodonpachi games haven't been released elsewhere...

However, maybe the relative success of the iPhone version and US DeathSmiles will convince someone to pick up the rights for an overseas release.

Expensive but good games :)

@JMMREVIEW Even though you can't afford Japanese Xbox 360 there are still plenty of games you can play. Mushihimesama Futari and Espgaluda 2 are region free on xbox 360. There are few NTSC (american) region shmups ported already but I live in UK so Japanese is the way to go.

Countless of mame shmups, DC and PS2 have so many good shmups all emulated now if you don't have the consoles anymore.

Doujin/touhou pc games. I am sure that you are not bored and have always something to play :)

@JMMREVIEW You can get a platinum version of Mushihimesama Futari from play-asia . com for £23 delivered, it's region free and probably one of the best Cave games ever as it's easier for new shmuppers than some of the other games. Dodonpachi, Strikers series, Progear, Mars Matrix, to name few are really good, use google, you can find plenty of best mame shmups posts there.

Everyone got different taste and like different type of shmups.

It was much cheaper on there compared to ebay! ill also try progear and mars matrix on an emulator they look good too.

@JMMREVIEW just to chime in on your conversation,if you want all the best shmups then the best thing to do is get a modded xbox 1 and run 2 emulator programs called final burn pro and coin ops reignite,fba plays all the capcom stuff perfectly,progear,mars matrix,marvel vs capcom etc and coin ops plays everything,particually good for the cave stuff and you can run the roms in 720/1080 hd! games never looked so good,both emus can also run on psp,progear psp is great!
