@LLAproductions lemme clear up some misunderstandings. "VY1" and "VY2" are genderless but to an extent.

the company purposefully created vy1 and vy2 to be genderless. that's why unlike the other vocaloids it does not have a character design officially. However!!!! the company did admit themselves, that vy1 was designed to be "feminine" in terms of vocals. in result, vy2 was designed to be masculine and beat all other male vocals. so vy1 is technically female. "technically" but not really.

yamaha wanted to produce a high quality vocal bank for professional producers to use. they created the VY series to be genderless, faceless, and nameless. VY1 has been confirmed "feminine" and VY2 has been confirmed "masculine". this "mizki" character was what the VY series is trying to avoid.

It is confirmed "feminine" and VY2 is confirmed "Male" but, it is faceless, and appearance-less.

The full version of this song I got when I bough the album is one of the greatest Vocaloid songs ever made in my opinion. It never gets old and even a few of my friends who don't even listen to this kind of music or know what Vocaloid is say that this song is pretty good. @1313Destiny1313 What about Meiko? Her voice is definitely unique compared to the others. And there's also Miriam, Sweet Anne, SONiKA, Lola, and Prima.

In this video, Mizki sounds like Luka, but in others sounds like Miku. The voicebank is versatile and can even sound male, so he/she is bound to sound like the other Vocaloids. It's like how people get Miki and Miku mixed up sometimes--with more and more Vocaloids and ways to modify them, there are bound to be similarities in quality.

@ShimaGenki its just the breathyness that people put on her that mae her sound like luka and miku append is a perfect example of the breathyness making her sound like tako luka. and i do think that sonika has a unique voice i just dont really like her because most of the songs i have heard of hers the users didnt make her pronunciate and that bothers me :| and i love meiko and sweet ann and miriam :)

Although, its noted she was orginally put out as "female" despite her series intention, so on the bank of the people who will accept "female". Female sounding voice... And as for "set" well, Mizki has a default. It almost is an epic failure of intention. :-/

Mizki is not going to have a set gender, face or even voice. All the trials I've heard sound different from each other, so I'm assuming that there are settings to change the voice, also assuming that it can be changed to sound like a male ... But I haven't ran into a demo that proves that yet.

People. Mizki doesn't have a gender. "It" is not intended for pretty artwork- no. Just for song making. Mizki doesn't have to have a gender- Mizki is just a voicebank with no image. I'm just explaining fans will easily be able to separate VY1 with a male and female counterpart, regardless of it's lack of gender. I'm just saying despite the fact it is genderless, an unnoficial fan art will eventually be the standard for VY1, people can find their way around it. For all we know it can become a transvestite who accidentally forgets to speak like a woman at times.
