tama na tama yan pre. Its all about the fighter, not the style. Hindi ako pa msyado sold sa yawyan pero nag crosstraining ako ng different styles at experience sa boxing, TKD, greco-roman wrestling at judo. Besides, I'm doing just like YY and going by my own system anyway.

3. Serkan is overrated with his TKD trick kick, as seen by his record.

Ang yawyan kasi is more like a system now than it is a pure conceptual martial art. It just cuts down crosstraining from boxing/kickboxing/Muay thay/TKD through implementation in one art. At ultimately, depende talaga sa fighter. Kahit brawler tulad ni kimbo pedeng bugbog sarado sa mga walang dating sa kanya.

Yun talaga ang yawyan mga aggressive! di tulad ng iba sipa tapos tigil walang kwenta yun! yun ang kinagandahan ng yawyan sanay sa mabilisang bakbakan hindi pa pitik pitik lng! kaya walang cnabi kahit muay thai! magagamit mo yawyan sa labas sa streets kahit and everywhere! mag-aral ka muna ng yawyan para maintindhan mo!

as much as i would like to see a philippine fighting art go up against arts like muay thai, i wouldnt count on it. there are so many flaws in yaw-yan. muay thai is actually a toned down competitive sport of boran which was once an art of war where technique, skill, power, endurance are important. those are points that yaw-yan fighters actually lack from what ive been seeing.

Cmon dude! You should be proud of filipino martial arts. Yaw-Yan fighters are really good. Though I dont practice Yaw-yan but I still admire and respect the skills of this fighters. Some Filipino thai kick boxers are also practioners of Yaw-yan.

@chings008 Go to wikipedia and type yaw yan, it says in there that Yaw Yan is proven very effective against Muay Thai. Muay Thai fighter are close range fighters, I've seen videos of Muay Thai fighters struggling against long range fighters who practice Savate (French Kickboxing). Yaw Yan practitioners can also take advantage against Muay Thai since a Yaw Yan fighter can fight long range and stay away from powerful blows by a Muay Thai fighter.
