It's sorta like a sequel to The Outsiders (includes a few characters from it) & is a REALLY good book. Pretty simply, if you liked The Outsiders, the you'll probably like That Was Then, This is Now.

Just to clarify: At no point did Georgia's soldiers cross over to russia. In fact Georgian soldiers responded to gunfire coming from South Osethia. (SO = Geo teryt.) They returned fire at which point things escalated. Now i live in Estonia and we got real news here, including the events that came before the war. The South Osethian rebels bombed several villages along the border that the russian "peace keepers" were guarding. So it is only logical that i f*ckin shoot back at people that bomb me.

the stories about the woman and her cat and the finger from down the drain will freak you the hell out but in a good "omg that was awesome" way! have fun!
well there's a movie now so i definitely gotta read the book... hopefully it will be nothing like the debacle that Queen of the Damned was... if you never read the book then it was an "ok" movie but if you did (like i did) you were sorely disappointed (considering how much poetic license was given on my part). Don't know how much Anne Rice was consulted on this one.
I definitely recommend the book 'Unwind' by Neal Shusterman. I just finished; it's amazing. A great depiction of a future that can happen, and even if the present tense is a bit annoying at first, you won't be able to put it down.
okay im probably the biggest geek that ever lived...but i would have to say the HALO books, im not shitting you it's some of the best books i've ever read. and im a big reader..start with "The Fall of Reach" and the author: Eric Nylund.

I am the world's pickiest reader because I also write and I criticize everything. So this book must be good if I'm praising it so much. ps. does anyone here think JK. Rowling sucks?
also, i can't call them my favorite but i started reading animorphs but so far, it's been pretty good. if people like reading about people turning into animals and fighting evil aliens that want to destroy earth they should read these books.
I'm watching this a while after the video was posted, but i'm try to catch up. Anyway i just wanted to say that Paper Towns was an amazing book and every time i hear someone read it, it makes me happy :D

Lol wrong Phil, religion is fixed whereas science is a) changing constantly and b) there's evidence for it.
eg a long time ago we thought that the world was flat. Now (not really because of science but the example fits). Now we know the world is spherical.
Christians still believe the world is 4000 years old despite having heaps of evidence contradicting this.
Science is in no way a belief.
wizzi0 2 years ago
I'm a Christian and i don;t believe that the earth is 4,000 years old. It is, in fact, most likely, billions of years old. Point disproven.
