@seethroughshit Spitting great freestyles and making good music for an album are two different things. That's why a lot of guys who were big on the battle circuit (Jin, Canibus, Chino, Ras Kass, etc) had trouble transitioning to recorded albums when they blew up and got record deals.
Sometimes it's the rhymes, sometimes it's the style, and a lot of time it's the producer. A good example is Canibus, who had a series of wack albums until finally a good producer (Stoupe) stepped in.
