I seriously love this guy! I've always had a thing for guitarists... But who wouldn't loe him?! he's cute, funny, quirky, talented, his glasses are schminted :) he makes the best songs known to man, except for blur but he's part of blur. You really cannot fault this guy. Too bad he's old enough to be my dad :S *blushes and hides behind a shelf xD*
I love this man. Why? He is talented, he is real, and there's no angle - he is just so true. He's my favorite member of (R.I.P.) Blur -- altho' of course they are reuniting in a few days for some shows. But that's way far away from where I am. I could just sit and listen to him play guitar endlessly with a dreamy smile on my face.He is just an epic musician, isn't he?
As he says, it provides a slightly damped-down sound as opposed to what the full barre would give you, because you're muting the low E string and usually the high E as well. That's about it as far as the advantage of it goes.
