Thanks for this video! I am having trouble getting this on our profile. I made sure to set the pic 435 x 150 and copied the code. Also, in the music player it lists the website instead of our band name. Any help would be much appreciated!

@Dozia311 I got your msg, did you get the code from my link? it looked like what you sent me had a lot of extras in it..just be careful when adding all kinds of custom styles they might override one another and its also easy to make mistakes as far as posting the codes in the right spot.

I could do that, but my comp won't record anymore so I'm not sure when I could get to it. the steps and tools used are basically still the same though in gimp.

u mean like an animated banner? depends what version of photoshop you're in but in cs4 you'll go to Window > Animation and just create new frames in that window and move your pic in each one...hope that gives you an idea of how to get started, that might be a good idea for its own video!

how do u get a playlist of your own songs? that u created.

there's a lot of ways. if its song u made, create a myspace band page and upload your songs. to add them to your personal profile just create a playlist (Profile > My Playlists) and just add them to your profile playlist. hope that helps.

yeah in 'view source' it won't let you change anything, I mostly just show you that so you see the code, however it's not really needed...just check out the code I added in the link to the right :)

You have to extract the font files(right click) then drop them into your font folder in the control panel.

html is certainly allowed in myspace. You can't add code by going to the Profile tab, Edit profile - this is new. To add html, go to Safe Mode which is next to your picture when you first log in. To add the code for the band name logo, edit the Musician Bio section and paste your code there.

others have had the same problem, not sure why this is. I use the same code on a bunch of band pages and have no problems. Double check that you've included the closing style tags, and make sure if you have any other custom style tags you put the code for the logo outside of them.

make sure you have the text tool (the 'T') selected and just click anywhere on your image and start typing, should come up. then to change the font just either select all the text with the selection tool or double click the 'T' thumbnail on the text layer in the layers palette, then you can change all the properties. Hope that helps.

unfortunately you can't turn a personal space into a band space. you can do some things to make it look like a band page, like added the band music player though.

if you want to make a band page just sign up for a new account and create a new music artist page.

Well, yea im learning myself into the work with Illustrator, downloaded some GoMedia Vector graphics. But if you want to make a proffesional logo (colour?) Tut for Illustrator im 100% gonna watch it.

I just ment maybe its better to have a Logo vectorized for anykind of Web / Copy stuff, cus u cant blow the size without loosing quality, if you do it the Photoshop way you may fuck up the Quality and u have to do it again!

theres a great magazine called 'Photoshop Creative' which is printed in the UK but available in bigger bookstores in the US. The mag comes with cd filled with brushes and textures.
