i love the ending to this movie its just like a fantasy movie or something this movie is the perfect blend of fantasy and horror in every way. as much as i hate remakes id be all for a remake of this just to see more of these characters and this story line

The ending of this movie without fail everytime I see it makes me cry. When the old man is reading the letter to Judy and he tells her that "some people aren't cut out to be daddies" i lose it. I really do love this movie though. It helps me maintain or remember some childlike innocence.

"toys are very loyal, and that is a fact." Honestly very true. I am not the least bit ashamed to admit that even though I am 30 years old, I still have my stuffed dinosaur of my childhood. His eyes are faded to white and he has a lot of fluff falling off, but I will never throw him away, and even today at my lowest moments I may still pick him up and hold him just for the sheer comfort he provides. I hope that some day soon I can put him in a crib with my own children so they can feel it too.

@AnaShadowWolf I honestly believe that stuffed dinosaur saved my life a few years back when I was at my lowest point of depression and alcoholism. If I had not had him to cling to on that day hit rock bottom, who knows what I might have done to myself? Those are my mother's words-she believes there are no accidents and everything happens for a reason. So in that respect, he was very loyal and helpful to me that day.

This film turned out to be better than i though and the special effects are one of the best for an 1987 film, i would never thought i would say this, but i find this film better than puppet master, in story and special effects, i wish there was a Dolls 2.

I must have been about 10 or 11 when I first saw this film and it scarred me so much I felt sick by the end and only watched it because I didn't want to look 'childish' and ask for it to be switched off.

I LOVE how this movie is so different from all the other horror movies! The dolls are not actual villains and love Judy and are fond of Ralph and they hate those whohave tortured them like Judy's horrible parents and the rude hitchikers.

This movie is horror and sweet at the same time. Love this movie so much :D

@boffinme80 Yeah, but IMO them tripping Ralph and attacking the brunette punker chick don't really make sense. I guess she did light the cowboy on fire, but still, he was trying to lasso her when she was panicking about her dying friend. She wasn't all bad.

I saw this movie when it first came out, I can't believe it actually frightened me, I was 17! I've alway thought dolls were super creepy, right up there with clowns. I used to hide my dolls in my toy box at night, could not go to sleep with one of those creepy things staring at me!!!

when i was a kid, i took the vhs of this film and kept on asking my mom and my grandmother to play it again and again for me. they told me they were very worried because this film is a horror film and i was only like 4. now, i grew up and i just watched the film. i suddenly understand why i loved the film so much. it was my favorite 'kid movie' and whilst other kids loved 'normal, sweet disney films', i loved carrying this one around..lol.. it's amazing, because it shaped me in some ways...
