i notice the parents quit feeding after somebody got pecked. i think in some familiesl that parents put up with less "competition" than others. the decorah eagles for example are pretty well behaved & the parents have an orderly system of feeding. i think it depends on the family. same with humans perhaps: some are better brought up than others.
