I love rock music, or just.....vocal music, shall we call it? But I love this. I'm a classic and go for the old stuff. I listen to this kind of music, I watch 1950 TV shows rather than the crap played on Nick or Disney. X) My friends all make fun of me, but hey! I've obviously got people on my side, right? Assuming you are democratically right in the face of abstension is the weakness of all current democratically elected goverments. Not one politicial currently has a majority vote. But music isn't about a democracy, nor is any form of art. Just do what you want, put your money where your taste is, and your taste will grow, along with the genres you support.

@ZombieHunter56 I loved that too, I perfer Know Your Enemy, yes, kind of stale and bland, but that was a straight up Punk song, real "In your face" sort of, that's what Green Day was all about. I love 21 Guns, it is better lyrically and musically, but, not as punk, but it mellows you out, which, is quite odd for Green Day, but it works mighty fine!

I've never heard either song on the radio. I heard "21 Guns", then found the American Idiot cast version, then found Green Day's newest video, which had "Know Your Enemy". I still love them both just as much (alongside this song). But I DID hear "Know Your Enemy" on RAW / WWE a few days ago.

Time of Your Life was on an older album- Nimrod. After Nimrod came Warning, and after Warning came probably their most famous album, American Idiot. The only album released since American Idiot has been 21st Century Breakdown, which 21 Guns is on. And say what you will about 21 guns, but I think 21st Century Breakdown is still a strong album- American Eulogy, Static Age, Murder City, and Christians Inferno are all really good songs.

Well, I wouldn't say they "hopped on." Green Day has been political since their first album, it's kinda their thing. BTW, they're totally entitled to be biased- I beseech you to find someone who isn't. As for your question, by "globe" do you literally mean geographically? If so, democrats tend to live in the Western US, while republicans usually live in the East. Now, these aren't solid, unyielding rules, as many states swing, but some always go a certain way, like California or Texas.

I'm pretty sure that a lot of republican stuff is in the midwest, but I could be wrong.
