  • This seems like its a tutorial, but its not. There are certain techniques that you need in order to play the song. At least with the intro bit, there is a palm/slap mute that happens twice in the first segment. The first time it's just a regular slap, but the second time, you need to pick or slap a note at the same time you slap muted strings. Anyone know how to do this, or can the original poster give us a better idea?

  • @punkmusicmetal - I got the string slap just by watching and practicing the motions. He doesn't spoon feed you the techniques, but if you watch closely you may be able to figure it out.

  • @dannyboy54w i dont think thats spoon feeding at all. And I'm glad you got it, care to teech me? And yeah, if its a technique that isn't very common (its like a slap/palm-mute) then I don't think thats spoon feeding at all.

  • @punkmusicmetal Yeah that's exactly what I'm saying. Basically, I just watched what he does. In some parts, it looks like a full on mute, and in others it looks like a slap going on with a fist formation. In other places still, it seems like he would slap his hand down in whatever position it happens to be in, which keeps his fingers in position for the next notes or chords he'll play. That last one I described works pretty well for me. This just from watching and experimenting.

  • You can find the tab at Ultimate-guitar (Dot) com.

  • can someone send me el tab?

    the link no work.

  • hey the link for this tab doesn't seem to be working for some reason...would someone please send me the tab as i would love to learn it! cheers

how dya make it look so easy??!

  • Awesome right hand!

  • awesome. thanks for this.

  • this song really isn't as hard as it looks. I mean don't get me wrong, it's HARD, but it's not impossible to play. You just have to start off at a really slow tempo & work your way up. It just involves a lot of fast pull offs & you have to be able to be quick with positioning your fingers.

    Awesome tune btw.

  • Well thank you for helping me rest easy know that I will never be able to play that song.

  • Thanks for the nice tab, it really helped me out.

  • dude that is awesome.

  • where can i find tabs? anyone help?

  • they're definitely in the description of the video.. you have to look really closely, but there's a link. They put it in blue underlined text to fool you.. those tricky bastards.

  • gahahahhahaha

  • @Petahpie hahahahaha greatest comment ever

  • that was awesome

  • i think this song sounds better in a slower tempo like in this video instead of the normal time tempo

  • 100% agreed.

  • how did he figure to tune the way he did?

  • he's the composer..

  • i know

  • It's an open tuning. A lot of artists use it to get a really full sound without another guitar. It gives it that cool ring. The rest is just raw talent from Eric, great composer. Hope that explains it! If you like acoustic stuff check out some of my stuff on our profile.

  • iwould like to see the tuning on video as i cant read music

  • Yeah those harmonix sound perfect.

    This whole thing is crazy.

  • not much of a tutorial video but the song sounds better when its slower..

    i still love it

  • Dude, You are the man. Inspiring, great playing.

  • if i am not wrong the guitar he is using is the greenfield guitar G3, it is inspired by the body of classical guitar, yet 13 fret and it has a lot of fun to play and has a beautiful high clear sound..just hear the so clean harmonics...=)

is there a guitarist or musician that you look up to? just curious.. we all have those who inspire us.

    don't ever stop playing!

  • Your Awesome!!!!!

  • speed and accuracy.. just amazing!

  • it sounds super funky wen it is played slower

  • thats brilliant

  • slowed down sounds much better and I think its just not my opinion. Great great work but i think playing in too fast ruins it.
