Saint Saens Christmas Oratorio Duet and Wherefore do the heathen clamor

Last Christmas, my choir did this alongside an Organ. But during the Chorus part, the strings shouldn't be legato in the slightest. All of those staccato marks...did the Orchestra just forget about it?

And I think it's a little slow. But that could be just me.

I LOVE this piece of music, I want to sing it so badly, I'm doing the Charpentier's Messe di Minuit pour noel. :) I want the Score for this. :) I actually Recently Just sang Saint Saens Requiem Last Sunday Night.
