  • @drumbeato Thanks again!! BSP

  • hotdamn thats good!

  • @1MartinD28 Thanks so much my friend!! BSP

  • yeah! Lovely vocals you've done. It matches the spot-on guitar tones. Is that your guitar collection too? (Seeing a stomp box in the background confirms the video footage is not from the 1960s.)

  • @Satyagrahaha Thanks!!! Yes, those are my guitars. I think I recorded the song in the late 80's, and took the video of the guitars in 1997. Thanks for the comment. BSP

  • Wow--very nice. I'm impressed!!1

  • Thank you my friend!! BSP

  • hey man... wonderful! very good one! just one question: what about the equipment you showed at the video? where did you get those oldies? i guess they're quite the same originals used by the beatles...

  • OMG, You are great! I love what you are doing.

    xxoo

    Jackie

  • Hey Jackie,

Thanks for the nice comment, but you still haven't answered my question. Are you the Mashed Potato girl???????????? xxoo Jimmy

  • Great stuff man!

  • Thanks!!!!!!!

  • this is incredible

you play + sound just like them

you are the 5th beatle and i have no doubt in my mind bout it

  • Thank you my friend!! BSP

  • GERRY MARDSEN ??? please take a breathe !

  • I like your voice - it's got a little bit of a rasp to it.

  • You remind me a lot of Gerry Marsden. You certainly have that Liverpool thing going in your vice.

Ever thought of doing some Gerry And The Pacemakers tunes?

I think you'd do a great job. How about, Ferry Cross The Mersey?

    Come one, wadda ya say?

  • Hope you do "Not a Second Time."

  • Nice work!! keep on rocking!!

  • Came across you looking around today and I've gotta tell ya,I have had an ear to ear smile since!Your Beatle covers are great.Even sang along to your unfinished 'And Your Bird...').You really mastered these tunes.I cannot tell you how impressed I am.And,c'mon, someones' band doing one that really made my jaw hit the pavement'Super Trouper' from Deep Purple.Man ,I wore that album out. Thanks so much for making my day and yes,I have subscribed....easily!

  • Thanks!!!

Super Trouper was not a "real" band. It was just me, with my brother playing the Hammond B3 organ.

  • Hi, very very good job!!! Do you tell me how post a video with stereo sound ?

  • Aw damn....you blew the final chord! It's a 6th/9th not a 7th!!

  • Thanks Chuck. I never paid that much attention to it, but you are right!! It is a 6th/9th. Thanks for your comment. BSP

  • HOLY SHIT!!! How did you do this?? I thought all YouTube audio was mono!! The track is mono, but the vocals are nice wide stereo....damn! How'd you do it? Terrific cover. Wanna hear my "And Your Bird..."?

  • i like this song, good cover!!

  • I love all the British Invasion songs you have recorded. It's cool the way you dubbed in your own voice for the harmonies. You have a great and unique voice.

  • Thanks Jeff. BSP

  • This is greatt -you sound good. I was trawling thru Beatles stuff as it is Mathew St festival this weekend in the grt Liverpool. Lots of groups doing Beatle music all day and night! Have you ever been to liverpool? If not you should!

  • Thanks so much cautiousone2. I have never been to England, but that is my goal. I want to visit London first, and then take the train up to "Liddypool" God Bless you, BSP

  • You're a good singer. Wow.

  • Thanks mate. BSP

  • I just "landed" here more or less by mistake, but hey, this is quite good!

I like to play around with digital multi-track software on my PC (because it's so much more convenient than my old 4-track cassette deck), and I even tried to record one or two Beatles songs once, but the result never even came close to this.

Five stars (for the Fab Four plus one)! :)

  • Thanks redasoft. I want to post some new vids, but my wife and I are seperated and I have an apartment at the Va Beach ocean front now. The recording software I used is on my sons computer. I never knew how to use it, I just played and sang, he was my "Producer/Engineer", plus I left my drums at home. My wife and I are thinking about getting back together and I vist her quite often now, maybe I'll take my guitar and amp over on a Saturday or Sunday and get my son to fire up the computer!!! BSP

  • Hey redasoft, I recorded this one back in the mid 80's on a Teac 2340 Simul-Sync 4 track deck. I still own it, and think is sounds better than my "And Your Bird Can Sing", which is the only vid I posted that was recorded with computer software. Analog wins over digital any day IMO. Thanks for your comment. BSP

  • Even at the risk of heresy, I like this version better than the Beatles'. You realy gave us beautiful rendition. Thanks!!

  • Thank you pretender33x, that's quite a compliment!!!!!!!!!! BSP

  • Buena Good No te ariesgues si tu romance es tan importanyte para ti no ella no me hara daño no cuando dice que me quiere escuha no puedesr no no no !! ella es un angel que me ah sido enviado a mi .... Xd

  • I have no idea what you said, but I hope you liked it!! Thanks for the comment. BSP

  • A stellar job! Amazing what one can do at home these days!

  • Thanks!!!!!!!! BSP

  • Absolutely love it, brother... and that's coming from a Beatles fan who bought The Beatles 2nd Album back when it was released. You have a great voice, great harmnies, and tight music that's very faithful to The Fabs' version!

  • I can't thank you enough for your kind words. God bless you my friend, because "I've got nothing". BSP

  • nice

  • Thanks!! BSP

  • Very nice, sir. Very nice indeed. How long did that take you to put together? I'm going to watch the rest of your vids and I'm subbing. Nice to meet you.

  • Thanks Ted,

This one went pretty fast, probably 3 or 4 hours. I knew this one pretty well before I recorded it. The recording process is what takes up all the time, not actually playing and singing the song. I'd love to be able to just concentrate on the "music" and let someone else do the recording bit, but I'm not The Beatles, and Sir George Martin didn't return my call LOL!! BSP

  • You're good, man! Enjoyed this very much!

  • Thanks Chuck, I'm glad you enjoyed this one!! BSP

  • Jimmy,

I like the sometimes smoky quality to your voice. You did a great job- just Beautiful!

Watch out for us girls who look like angels. Old Diablo is always lurking nearby- lol!

  • Hi Deb,

Yeah I started singing at age 10 in a band and have been at it ever since. Smoking 3 packs of cigarettes a day didn't help either LOL!! I quit smoking on Sept 11, 2007 and haven't missed them at all. I know all about you girls that look like angels. I'm gonna keep a close eye on you girl!! You sound like you could get me into trouble LOL!! Jimmy aka BSP

  • Devil in Her Heart, the early 60s, for me, nothing was better than the Beatles. A super era. Still I love this epoch.

  • Hey alabamaralle, it doesn't get any better than the Beatles!! Thanks for your comment!! BSP

  • Love your covers, especially this one! Reminds me of a day 40+ years ago when my best friend (and bandmate) and I cut school to record Devil in Her Heart, also doing all parts, but on a 4-track reel-to-reel tape player. Thanks!

  • Thanks bjzucker. Yeah I recorded this one back in 1986 I think. I recorded it on a Teac 2340A 4 track reel-to-reel machine with no mixer or effects and used 1 Shure SM57. I remember using a bunch of Y-cables to bounce down the tracks. Pretty high-tech LOL!! Thanks for your comment. BSP

  • gear remake

  • Thanks giles422, I'm glad you enjoyed it. BSP

  • I like this version more than the one by the Beatles. Really great !!

  • Thank you pretender33x. I'm still kind of partial to The Beatles version, but that's very nice of you to say. Thank you. BSP

  • Sounds nice. Keep up the good work!

check out my channel lots of Beatles!

  • this is on my Favorite thanks

  • wow cool keep going

  • As a musician and singer myself, I must say that this is fabulous. And it's not easy to cover the Beatles (although the version by the Beatles is actually a cover of "Devil in his heart" by the Donays). Anyway, great job.

  • Thanks Wolf, I wrote you a long reply but I either forgot to post it or it hasn't shown up yet. It really sucks getting old LOL!! Hell, I can't even remember my own name LOL!! Thanks for your comment my friend, BSP

  • Yeah, I forgot to post it. I just said that I've never heard the original Donays version, so I'm off to find it. If I'm not back in an hour, save yourself and the rest of the troops, leave without me LOL!! (Oops, looks like I've had a few too many of those energy drinks LOL!!) BSP

  • Anytime. The original version is kinda hard to find, since it wasn't a hit. I think it's on a few albums of girl group stuff, and it's probably still possible to get a 45 rpm record of it. It's a good tune though, with a lot of cool riffs that the Beatles picked up on in their version, and probably used in some of their other stuff. Anyway, keep up the good work.

  • These guys actually do a pretty good job with this beatles gem.

  • Thanks mate. It's just me. BSP

  • player: have you ever learned anything about the guy who wrote this song, Richard Drapkin? I know the original was done by the Donays, an American girl-group of the early 60s, but I wonder who was the person who wrote this great little tune.

  • Hey 57highland, yeah all I know is that it was done by the Donays, but I'll check into Richard Drapkin and see what I can find, you've got me curious now. BSP

  • Thanks. When you read an unknown name under a song title in between two song titles with "Lennon-McCartney" under them, you've got to wonder who it was, right?

  • this is awesome....I wish I had the kind of equipment you have....what recording/amp equip do u use?

  • Thanks MusicDude86, I recorded this one back in '86 I think on a Teac 2340 reel to reel 4 track tape machine. At the time I wasn't really into having everything proper (Vox AC30, Hofner bass etc). I think I played a Fender P bass through a Peavey Bandit LOL!!. I now use all the correct instruments and amps and use Adobe Audition as my recording medium. Listen to my version of "And Your Bird Can Sing" for a comparison, that's a fairly new one. Thanks for the comment Dude. BSP

  • Not bad. You guys sound great :)

  • Thanks JPM4Ever. It's not "You guys" though luv, it's just me, playing and singing everything. So how have you been MAF? I lost track of you. It's good to hear from you again. BSP

  • Ah ok. That's not bad. You sound great :)

I've been doing fine thanks just been busy:) How about you?

  • Hey JPM4Ever, yeah my solo stuff are the vids with the pictures of the guitars and the Parrot. The rest are "The Stingrays" videos, the band I've been in for the last 17 years. It's funny, it seems like it's been so much longer LOL!! Thanks for the comment luv, BSP

  • You're welcome :)

  • ??? what the hell is that weird competition ???

    :s

  • Lyndeer, I have no idea LOL!! Hope you had a great day young lady. It's great to hear from you again. BSP

  • lol i wish i could play my guitar that well!

  • Thank you Lyndeer, keep practising, it's not that difficult. After a while, it's like breathing, you won't even think about it. It does take commitment though.

  • judging by your guitars you must have a well paid job!

  • My all time fave of yours, Red. Give me more LOL.

  • Well thanks hiheels69, I'm glad you like this one. And you want more huh? Alright then, coming right up LOL!!

  • Love It !!!!!

    5 stars from me

  • Thank you young lady!! You're too kind!

  • Im back. I like this song very much. Yes, very refreshing and so is Mocha Cappuccino. Which song/beverage is your favorite BeatleSongPlayer? So you are doing everything, no batteries needed! Very best to you.

  • Well I'm glad you're back! Let's see, beverage, used to be a Corona with a lime slice but had to let that go, so now it's Diet Coke. Song - anything by The Beatles works for me!! And yes, no batteries needed, think of the money you'll save LOL!!

  • nice job don't hear this 1 very often.

  • Thanks, what a refreshing drink!! I try to do some that aren't beat to death.

  • GREAT man! Something tells me that you are playing and singing everything. Am I right?

    Dynamite job.

  • You are Kerrrrect sir! Yeah, this is just me, I find I don't have to argue with the drummer this way!! I do play in a real band, but I do that for the money, I do this for fun. Thanks for your comment!
