I remember being on this ride when I was a kid and after going up and down a couple of times my Dad made us stay on the lower level of the ride. hahaha
Ah luffz tis ride. I remember I was about one, I did NOT want to get off this ride so my mom put me on the ground and sat there with me until my mentalness settled down. Wish I had a video.
When President Truman came to the park a long time ago he refused to ride this ride because Dumbo is an elephant, and that is the republican symbol ( I think he didn't want to get caught).
in 2007 i went to america with my family and at the start we went to disneyland and stayed in the resort and i LOVED this ride so whenever i got bored my brother and i would take a spin on dumbo (we'd always get the yellow one and go up high)
I would like to comment that most people would still consider Disney a must attend attraction awhile visiting the OC and would not be disappointed even at the cost of entry..We have been attending since early 70's and are thrilled at every visit. Folks do not be discouraged for what others may have think Disney and Orange County have become. Experience it for yourselves..Give your children one of life's greatest experience that they will never forget..Take em to Disney.YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT
I just rode this today. I've been going here for 40 years plus. I'm afraid this place looks more like Mexico everytime I go back and we go every 2 weeks. They even hire illegal aliens now. It is sad to see this decay of a great place.
So Soulsurfer56 I take it you must be head HR or know the hiring managers over at Disneyland that you make such a bold statement that Disney now hires illegal aliens...You must be aware the cost of Disney park tickets I say at 72.00 dollars for adults and 62.00 dollars for 9 year old & under right...You cant be as ignorant enough to know that the folks that are employed there make the minimum wage barely enough to feed the themselves..
Little less a family in this economy...Unless you wanna drag your 45 plus years over to Disney from 8:00 am to Midnite 7 days a week or send your kids and donate your free spare time to clean up trash and the toilets there to make the place any more happier than it already is...After all its the happiest place on Earth right..Lets not be so fast to past judgment on poor folks making a small living..God Bless America
who's passing judgement? I just don't like illegal aliens getting hired as "sub-contractors" instead of americans. I've been going here over 40 years. When I hear employees speaking spanish and then try and speak to them but they can't understand me then there's something wrong there. By the way, we pay 350 a year, not 72 per visit. And they used to pay well before "our new citizens kids" began working for anything offered them.
It is hard for me to believe that some employee at Disney. If he or she was either in custodial work or as a ride operator or even a cook ( I guess the folks who interviewed them for the job do not speak English either right..) I am sure a interview would be common at the most successful amusement park in the U.S right? If they are sub-contracted, they probably don't have to have any dealings with you If they paid well at Disney, you would be paying $500.00 a year be happy your getting a deal
I'm not going to say how I know they hire illegals and YES, they interview in spanish. I have a family member that is pretty high up the totem poll and has been there many many years. Isner began this crap way back before he got ousted and the sell out contuinued just like it has all over my home state by corporate corruption and government. The entire area has gone extremely downhill compared to what it once was. The OC was once a clean place to live and look at it now? I know, I grew up there.
