  • how well does the sight keep zero on that AR? Is it bright enough in the day and tough enough for ak recoil?

  • @TheNopedawg It is hard to see on a sunny day because theres no sun shade, but its still visible. Yeah it holds up and holds zero good.

  • i think the pigs better look out! pretty good shootin D!

  • @fracwilt it was ok. Ive had it out a few times. Shot it once at a hog, hit and she ran

  • How can you adjust your sight when you say that your grouping is because of you and your shaking? I've always thought that you only adjust your sights once you get a pretty tight group...that letting you know your rest was solid

Good stuff, I'm gunna try to keep up watching all the new vids...

  • @hogdude1234 because those 2 shots that were right in line with each other were still off center to the left, the wild one was from the shaking. I do need to put it on a bench and shoot some more.

  • Wow! You should be ecstatic! That's damn swell!

  • @jstrunck really? It got better. Then I missed a hog! LOL

  • AND ONE DEAD ROCK nice shooting bro ;-)

  • @cressy7isback thanks!

  • Good to see your happy with it Are you gonna use it as a varmint riffle ?

  • did you know, most rounds(not all) but most you can sight in at 25 yards and itll be the same at a 100yards. thats what i've been told and the handful of guns i've done it on, it works. just something to try out next time your sighting a rifle in. nice shooting Darak!! cool vid!!

    james

  • @BOHEMIANHUNTINGCLUB Hey James I sighted my 7.62x39 and .243 in @ 25 yrds and the both shoot the same @ 150 yrds

  • its pretty neat, makes it a lot easier to sight rifles in!!

  • hey guy, great vid. im glad to see that youre shooting a s&m 15. i just bought a s&m 15 sport. i havent shot it yet. how do you like yours? thanks. overall immpressons?

  • Say I have lil to no knowledge about ar so I'm very curious to find out all I can before I go out and spend that much money in one . Ur vids r realy helpen out thanx bro

  • In your comments, is it the BSA or the rifle you don't like? If its the BSA, I'd look into the Vortex RDS. But you'll have the same problem obviously of the dot covering the bulleyes at 100 yds. Try something like a 2.5-10x's scope. Vortex makes scopes that are great for the money.

  • For an AR you should def sight in for 100 yards instead of 50. I'd also say get a different sight with some magnification

  • Great video man glad it works!

  • @CharlieParker14 thanks!

  • Ya no doubt it works.....

  • @Lanscop08 it does...

  • I am glad it's working for you. They certainly are not top of the line but, like I said, I have had great luck with the BSA. I have used them like you are, as a temp until I get something better. I was kind of forced to start using fancy optics due to eyesight, I needed something easy to use with both eyes open and yea, it's a bit odd getting used to the dot covering the point of impact. I like red dots & love my holographic sights now but I am kinda forced to them. lol It keeps me shooting.

  • @shananagans5 eyesight is the thing with me too. I see 3 dots blended together. I should swap to left handed. My left eye sees just one dot. I'll wait a while and see how this goes. I may go to open sights and a scope. I do like the red dot tho!

  • @dnahoghunter lol It is my right eye that's bad too. I have a little dead spot in my vision that I don't even notice until I look down sights. I tried going left handed but it never really worked for me. I now just mount any sight on top of the carry handle so it's a little higher & use both eyes with holographic & lean over to use my left eye with a standard scope. Not ideal but easier than going lefty for me. It throws off elevation having the sight mounted that high but I can compensate well.

  • Wut caliber round is that? Kind of seems like it gots a bit of a kick

  • @slrg13 yeah it does seem to kick a bit. Or Im just not holding it solid. My Howa weighs so much it doesnt move. Normal .223 Monarch rounds. Steel... one subs noticed that. Now Im buying brass only.

  • Dude that is some nice shooting. I remember when I got my ruger gunsite scout rifle I used only the iron sights and I gotta say theres just something that makes it really fun to shoot from far without magnification. especially when you land your shots on the bullseye at 100 yards or more. Nice vid!

  • @powerboxsoad I may swap to open sights and a scope. see what happens. All I ever used growing up was open sights, I do like them lots! LOL. You want nice shooting, I need to get the Howa out for long distance again!

  • thats what I'm talking about

  • @deepfriedking someones got it in for you and Danny. Every comment y;all leave some hits as spam. Dont they know it doesnt do anything unless the video owner tags it as spam? 4 Days and counting!!!

  • @dnahoghunter I noticed his comments but not mine no biggy got a troll I guess imagine that lol

  • Sweet shooting!!! Not bad for no magnification sight!! Awesome!!

  • @camargopark1985 thanks! I think I can get better tho. I just need to get used to the red dot and pick 1 of the 3 dots that my right eye sees! LOL

  • your last shot was just about a copy of lung/hart shot. its in there. sorry i could not make the fish fry. will go to your place as soon as time lets. just to say hello. thanks for the offer.

  • @whiteindianone yeah, it just clipped the top of the rock. I went back out with some jugs and soda bottles. Found its still shooting a bit left. I wouldnt try a head shot at that distance with this thing, the Howa yes, but nt the AR. Gonna get a BIG hunt this weekend. See how it goes. Are you in San Antonio?

  • Cool shot, I can say one thing, I have not been subbed long but have enjoyed. The thing I can say about your channel is you tell it like it is and real. I have alot respect for your opinion and thanks man, take care.

  • @ewtoutdoors you'll see nothing staged here. If I loose a hog, you'll know. If I drop one, that too. If I go hogless for months... same. If I make a misstake, that gets posted too. I'm here to share, not to say. hey y'all, look at me! LOL, I tell it like it is as you say. Im just a low profile hunter that struggles with finding a place, I'ld say Im the average hunter out there. Thanks for that great comment!

  • Looks like you got the memo: dont miss lol

  • @realbowhunter2506 huh? LOL

  • @dnahoghunter 114 yards unmagnified is certainally stretching the limits of what is doable. I'll tell you what I do. I have my Eotech red dot mounted on a utg quick release and have a 6-24x40 scope on another. I sighted them both in and as long as I put them back in the same slots they came out of they stay zeroed. If you do the same you can still put one behind the ear like you normally do even past 100 yards.

  • @thess518 could you PM me a link where I can see a quick release. That sounds like my cup of tea.

  • ooooo i might put one on my mini14

  • @SupremeAmerican go for it

  • I've tried to get to like red dots but can't do it. I'll stick to a variable scope on the ar.

  • @riflemanjim its my first so I'll wait and see. I may swap... my right eye is hosed, I see 3 red dots and it makes it hard to shoot accuratly. I want a scope, but I want to find tha target fast up close too.

  • @dnahoghunter try a 1x4 power that way you have magnification.

  • lol, "OR meaning optics ready." "I got my optics, now I'm ready."

  • @Fordfanforlife777 lol who says shooting cant be funny?!?

  • @MrGigity91 Good point. haha

  • @Fordfanforlife777 yes I am!!! LOL, that just came out...

  • you cant ask for more on an AR, the rifle is meant for combat and its a lot of fun to shoot. my take on it is you can never compare it or expect it to perform like a snipers rifle. but its fun to play with. good luck on the hunt.

  • @2xtrmshot An AR can be just as accurate as a bolt action rifle...believe it or not...

  • @2xtrmshot I hear ya, it will never perform like my Howa, but fun yes. Even if it was that accurate, I still would get the acuracy myself. Reason... I developed astygmatism in my right eye. Verticle lines are fine, but horzontal lines get hazy. So... I see 3 red dots stacked when I use that BSA, and they blend together so it makes it hard. If I look with the left eye, its just one dot.

  • Good shooting man! Tha thing is gonna be a hog killin machine.

  • @JGguns1 I sure hope so

  • haha, very nice shot at the end. Good luck hunting with it! Be looking forward to seeing it in action.

  • @GosuVu thanks!
