@Lord0fMetal Atreyu is metalcore and metalcore is a cheap knock off version of melodeth. I can almost guarantee Atreyu has at some point listened to In Flames (more specifically The Hive). They probably didn't go out and use the same riff right away but it laid dormant in their memory and when they decided to make a new song, they used the riff (possibly accidentally) thinking that it was new and original. A more advanced term is Cryptomnesia.

I don't hate atreyu just because they have a track that kinda sounds like In Flames, I hate them because they're fucking awful (or in the more blunt terms I put it "sound like a cat with AIDS")

@Lord0fMetal Atreyu is metalcore and metalcore is a cheap knock off version of melodeth. I can almost guarantee Atreyu has at some point listened to In Flames (more specifically The Hive). They probably didn't go out and use the same riff right away but it laid dormant in their memory and when they decided to make a new song, they used the riff (possibly accidentally) thinking that it was new and original. A more advanced term is Cryptomnesia.

I mean really come on!! All they did to it was turn it into mostly powerchords, and on the lead part on the end of it added a pick squeal to hide their plagiarism.
