Why do hunters use rifles? Animals have been killed by humans for thousands of years without gun powder. Grab a quiet high powered bow and launch an arrow into the neck.
Personally, I think putting a bullet in the head of an animal is nothing to be proud of. But shooting an arrow, thats seems way cooler.
A good shot with a rifle beats a good shot with a bow any day. A bullet kills, not only with the hole that the bullet puts in the game, but also with a massive shock. With an arrow, the animal has to bleed to death (in most cases, much slower death). A good archer can reduce that with a very good shot. Lesson - whether its a bow and arrow or a rifle PRACTICE!

Man that big buck went down with no pain at all...awesome take shot, thats a pretty nice take down. Great lookin buck and he is so nice that its hard to believe it is a management hunt! Congrats.
