do you think if i get a 8" argentea it would be fine if i put it with my cichlids tank is 200G i have 6" red devil 8" blue texas 5" jaguar 5" red oscar 4" pink convict ? the thing is a like it so much and at my local fish store they sell a 8" argentea but they told me is not a good idea to mix it with my fish those are very aggressive but since u have one i wanna know . . . .thanks anyway!
how do u keep the salvini in top colour condition....i recently purchased one (4 days ago) and he measures about just under 2" long. i feed him on hikari cichlid gold, and have a vast range of plants for him to munch on in the tank! but he seems to be loosing his colour ever since i purchased him! i have done water changes several times, but no response. is it because i use quite powerful lighting systems or is it his tankmates. 2 breeding severums, severum, small texas.
@WildlifeNick1 i had a salvini RIP my jaguar killed him they were both 4" but i fed him grand sumo,chingmung,azoo,hikari,spectrum and otto all mixed together and his color was amazing try that is worth it ! salvini are very nice fish!
@nickparkes1 species names are far more descriptive and will apply everywhere. Common names (Silver vieja, fire head cichlid for example) will vary from locale to locale.
