  • Far be it from me to deny the late, great J.P. "Big Bopper" Richardson his biggest hit in his tragically short career. But with all due respect to his genius, for my money, the 1972 studio version of Chantilly Lace by Jerry Lee Lewis was not only THE version, but one of the five best singles of the 1970s overall. The Killer Rocks On!!

  • what else did he do on this session of Midnight Special? some friends of mine & I were actually there, but I don't remember ... lol

  • Another genius performance of JLL who hasn't been losing a time for some tricks, breaks, dance and talks with people in favour of a pure music; he is real and brillant musician who doesn't need cheap games and sentimental maniere like my also favourable Elvis not saying about Chuck and others. JLL is like a Sample from Sevres for all

temporary pop musicians; let's see also on unusal prestige celebrated to him both by Kris

Krisstoferson, Keith Richards and Woods, Nora Jones, Kid Rock and others.

  • Could you upload Breathless from this show?

  • Sorry, I miss the time for that at the moment.

    Maybe later.

  • Done.

  • Quite simply..the greatest artist in the world ever...and that!! is a guarenteed fact baby!!!

  • They cut the piano sound when the Bee Gees song with Jerry. At least in this one the piano was not murdered.
