Dude that means that you need to train your calves before you do a quad workout. Try doing heavy weight with low reps to absolute failure and beyond e.g. forced reps, negative, partials, and rest pause.
@NJnaturalBB The movement is mostly hip extension. There is some quads involved yes, and also some hamstring flexion and lumbar isometric contraction, but the glutes are the primary movers here.

My father almost made it to the olypics in college, forget what year , now they are 50+ years and have knee pain attacks when standing up. although its not a knee-dominant movement, this man is standing and when he lifts that weight its not the muscles he is using to lift it that are supporting his stance. same thing with life long runners and many other athletes, people age.

@w0000tttt According to some powerlifters, the best position is aligned with your spine, as it is the safest and most natural position. People looking up can really hurt their necks since you kinda start pulling with your neck when going very heavy.

@myself36 breathing out durring the eccentric portion of a lift allows you to generate more force and makes the lift easier. If you did it the other way, you could black out haha. Yelling also just helps to psyche yourself up and ignore the pain to crank out those last few reps (scientifically proven that yelling/cursing helps to withstand pain for longer periods of time, which is why it's such a natural thing to do when under high stress/pain such as here)
i still would like if you would give a some examples of type 3 training on the white board a cupple of principals .. i like your kind of teaching ... i didnt like those pdf stuff and i would like to learn the principals cause then i can add them to my own trianing and body as ..trianing plans dont work for everyone
