remaking something means adding or twisting the original. its been done in the past and only rarely has it felt that it was worth it. im sick of remakes and needless hd renditions of classic games. when something is brilliant, simply let it be and if the younger folks dont get it, then let it die gracefully in our hearts. to remake ff7 is pointless. they have already milked its story and characters dry, to the point where square has very little new to offer. just my two cents.
like the first part when lightning and sazh are on the train. lightning/cloud=bad ass, sazh/barrett=comedic relief. Can't tell about the music, only played XIII once lol. Just felt similar to me :)

Why does it make me so insanely sad to listen to FF music? It just suck so much that nothing I ever do will be as fun as playing those games. I miss it so much. Even as I was finishing FFIX when I was 14, I remember thinking that I will never love anything this much, and that I never want it to end. My feelings for this serie is kinda uncomprehendable for someone who didn't had the same experience.

I haven't played it much and only saw one playthrough on YouTube, however, in all official art, games, and the Final Fantasy VII Advent Children movies, Cloud has blue eyes, so I don't know where this guy got the idea that Cloud has green eyes. Do they turn green when he's in the Lifestream or is overloaded with Mako? That would make a little sense.

I have a bad feeling Ill be seeing fucking paradigms and staggering spamming and hour long battles, no world map to explore and instead a extremely linear "hallway" setup, and super cheesy and effeminate personas and (gay if you will) dialogue.

Replace the music with the orchestral versions, do some voices that aren't terrible (hard, I know) and improve the graphics to FF X standard, AT LEAST. They seem to think we want it to be as realistic as possible. I'll settle for the characters being taller than 3' and not made out of polygon shapes. lol.
@emsteffi Agreed... but i happen to like Advent Children and Crisis Core... actually those two were so long ago I cant remember how cheesy the voices were... were they cheesy? I would actually like to see a similar system of combat as seen in Crisis Core. Again it was a while ago so not sure how good/bad it actually was, but I wouldnt mind if turn basing was completely scrapped, provided it was replaced with something better. Dont get me wrong, FF7 gameplay was a strong-point.

@TiffanyCullen play the pc version. There are mods for it that make the characters full size, some are dissidia model ports so you get good quality ones. Not to mention the remastered music mod and the menu overhaul mod. It fully feels like a new experience

Why are people upset about them remaking FFX? It's my favorite in my opinion, and besides it's only an HD update basically, their not really doing anything great with the graphics, so calm down, besides, An HD update takes very little time, an FFVII remake would take a lot longer, and it will eventually happen, just be patient. Personally I also think a remake of FFVII should be just for PS3 since FFVII was for playstation, Xbox wasn't made yet though. Still, I think the remake will happen soon.

I can see upgrading it for PS3, simply because the PS3 can not play PS1 or 2 games, however...there's already a PC version of FF7. @s3rpico91 I really don't think It should be for Xbox. It's not even because I prefer Splaystation over Xbox, It's just because I think Square Enix should stay true to it's platforms. That's like Nintendo suddenly releasing a new Mario game for the PC. I mean hell, that'd be awesome, but it wouldn't be right.

well if that's honestly the case, it should go back to Nintendo, but really, this game is too good not to get a multi-system release. With the Wii U coming out there really isn't anything stopping them from putting an HD remake on all three...

@KerwinAndreDumont You do realize that FF started on Nintendo, right? Don't be stupid, share the love with everyone, Square is a software company, not a hardware company and since FFVII fans have split to many platforms, if they only went with PS3 (god forbid they ever do a remake, we don't need it and they will just fuck it up, square has been ass lately) they would screw probably half of their fanbase, if not more.

@KerwinAndreDumont Last thing, the difference between Mario and FF is Nintendo MAKES Mario. Sony don't make FF. FF has been on Xbox, Nintendo and Sony, handhelds and consoles, if they ever did do a FFVII remake, you better believe it will be on all three systems, because they will only do it as their last ditch effort to climb out of the hole they have put themselves in recent years.

@LoukasCCCP Why do we need a remake for a system that already had a release of it? I can see upgrading it for PS3, simply because the PS3 can not play PS1 or 2 games, however...there's already a PC version of FF7. Now if you're talking updated graphics and whatnot to make the old one look like child's play, then yes I totally agree with you, otherwise if you want to preserve its original state, get the version that's already out.
