  • Seabiscuit was for what he was believed to be at the start of his career, an amazing little colt. But War Admiral's owners let Seabiscuit's owners put too many stipulations on this race. Like a walk-up start, which War Admiral reared from when they took off. I'm not knocking Seabiscuit at all. But I've always believed that War Admiral was the better of the two colt's. Breaking from a starting gate, I would've bet War Admiral to beat Seabicuit 7or 8 out of 10. TJMO.

  • @GBeret83 I don't know where you got the idea that it was Seabiscuit's owner that put the stipulations on this race. There was no negotiating with Mr. Riddle... he called all the shots. Everything was set to War Admiral's benefit and he still lost.

  • This is the best coverage ot this race that I've seen so far.

  • Darn i suck at betting on historical sports moments, I had War Admiral. Ah well I'll win my money back by betting on the USSR vs USA in the 1980 winter olympics, now that's a sure thing
