  • haaa! i still do some of those dance moves! it was videos like this that made me want to be a hip-hop dancer. its all too complicated now, for me anyway.

suddenImpactProduct - you are totally right about the 80's-90's revival. i feel it happening already :-D

  • Hammer is the fuckin man.. if he could just do the shit he use to do i think he could still be around . HAMMER was the first rapper to sell to white He was the first to cross over into mainstream. and people Like ICE CUBE "are we done yet!" yeah that nigga criticized hammer. hatin ass niggas

  • The main problem was everyone was calling him a sell out and those same folks are benefiting from him opening the doors. He was trying to show rap didn't have to be all gangsta and violent and now people are begging for positive rap and had it and didn't appreciate it.

  • AGREED.

  • Hammer ignored the #1 rule of business = Friends and Money should not mix. And he paid for it with both friends and his money.

  • Is that Deion Sanders?

    at 0:08 and 0:49 etc...

Hammer is wearing a Falcon's jersey and it sounds like like Deion so I suppose so?

  • That is Deion Sanders, aka Prime Time. I'm surprised they have posted his "Must be the Money" video or I just haven't checked to see.

  • Is that Aaron hall from Guy at 3:23??

  • I agree...this song does go off. I love the dancing!

  • Aiight, no matter what else the f**** eva he did, this song is da f***in bomb! ya'll give props where props is due. You GO Hamma!!!!!

  • The man went broke helping people from his neighborhood. I admire him. I wish I could dance like him.

  • "The man went broke helping people from his neighborhood. I admire him."

By buying a huge $100 million mansion and having a 40-person entourage that spent $500,000 A MONTH (presumably on booty and bling :-p ), forcing him to file for bankruptcy? That's "helping people from his neighborhood"?

  • The Soulja Boy Of The Early 90's superman that hoe soooooooooo LMAO!!!!!!

  • Hammer (now way am I referring to him as an MC) looks really high in this video, song is wack, but not Lil Wayne wack, just played out wack

  • grindin,,,dam you dont know dancin,,more of a sorority step.....not grindin

  • Sorry Hammer, you don't do "gangsta" well. I stopped listening to Hammer once he went "White" with U Can't Touch This. After that, he became the white man's rapper...clownish and watered down.

  • Went white the dude never have been white he did what he did to get money, and supported the black community to the fullest. Dont come whit that black and white shit.

  • I'm not gonna lie, he is a vicious dancer lol

  • I ain't ashamed to say it but I did love Hammers music and dancing back in the day. Shame he tried to go gully and gangsta just didn't suit him.

  • Now thats real dancin right there.

  • yeah funny i remember back in the day everybody was lauging saying "oh hammer gangsta now" but back 94,95,96 you had to be gangsta ,so i cant say i did not blame hammer for trying act gangsta

  • LMAO Hammer is hardcore!

  • The video n the whole stuff was off the chain!!Back in the days was the real groove. Now we got wanna be thugs n junkies tryin 2 mess up the system with so much hate n pride!!

  • I don't care what ratings say I love this song!

  • we like the girls with the pumps in the bump!!!

  • Last 90 days crime stats by that park in the video. AGGRAVATED ASSAULT 50 ALCOHOL 7 ARSON 3 BURGLARY 67 DISTURBING THE PEACE 11 NARCOTICS 34 PROSTITUTION 1 ROBBERY 40 SIMPLE ASSAULT 81 THEFT 71 VANDALISM 44 VEHICLE THEFT 152
  • This was the better video version of this song.

  • How could you NOT be gangster and be able to dance your ass off like that?

    Hammer was the man.

  • remember when he used to wear boots, bike shorts and the Oakland A's Jacket?

I still rock that look from time to time

  • where's the original video??

  • dont be a hater all ya life this video IS, AND WILL FOREVER BE THE SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!

    HAMMER TIME BIOTCHES!!!

  • Not ONE other rapper could dance like the Hammer!

  • you guys dont understand that Hammer had to downsize his wardrobe budget....those costumes cost big cash flow....Hammer was very legit and put Oaktown rap on the worldwide map in the 80s....I am from LA and was there back in the day...

  • LMAO he went from being a soft party rapper to a gangster rapper he embarassed himself with for this LMAO

  • Chop n Screw ya'll up I loved this song and all of Hammers music. He was fire back then.

  • For people say Hammer "trying to be gangster," you didn't know Hammer. Hammer was around gangsters and killers and switched his style up to be accessible and deliver family oriented music. I bet you money you wouldn't say that to his face. I'm not even from Cali and I know that.

  • Why are folks talkin about Hammer "tryin to be gangster," just because he changed his wardrobe? Okay, so he wasn't wearing suits anymore. How was he "trying" to be gangster?

Why was he the only entertainer in music history who wasn't allowed to do anything different, or to grown and progress as an artist?

This was the BEST song that he ever made. I don't get the criticism.

    Hammer at his best.

  • I agree. DON'T HURT EM HAMMA:)

  • The dance moves at end are hot, man hammer killed it!

  • I love this song & video!! I used to actually party with Hammer, Ace, Juice, and Joe (his cousin, the dude on the bus) @ a club called Silk's in Emeryville...believe me when I say, you would leave worn out & sweated out! When you went to party there, you had to BRING IT! And we all did! Too much fun...

  • This is when Hammer made his comeback, minus the "MC". these female dancers were dancing so slutty and nasty... where can i learn to dance like that? ROTFL

  • dis song still be hittin

  • This was the song that made MC Hammer feel so guilty he switched to making only Christian music.

  • Pity Hammer changed over..He has such talent!

    {no offence..}

  • This shit still bumps!!! He never tried to be "Gangsta". At that time MF was just hatin and still do.

  • Bumps? rofl!!!

    Love it!!

  • Great dance moves. But the gangsta thing does NOT suit Hammer.

  • Nigga's buyin' shoes? What the hell?

  • I like these dances, They still hot!!

  • that cold at 0:44

  • ok this aint mc hammer but this song is nice i dont care what nobody say

  • one of the rare good mc hammer songs. i liked the other video better, because it had some bad ass bitches in the other original version of this video.

  • OMG! I WANNA GO TO HIS CHURCH NOW!!

  • OMG! NEVER SAW THIS BEFORE AND I'M Soooooo DiSAPPOINTED! Ole' well..

  • Same here. This is not the same Hammer I liked back in the day. He was too extreme: either too clean or too nasty. Neither approach worked for him.

  • LMAO at Deon Sanders in this video! He look like a pimp...

  • I think that was sort of the idea...

  • lol the gangsta look doesn't fit him.

  • why did his carreer end?

  • Over-exposure, it's that simple. He spent a lot of his fortune on expensive videos (2 Legit 2 Quit actually cost more money than the album made) and spent most of the late 90s as a punchline in the music industry.

Today, he's made appearances in several commercials (as recently as August 2008), cameo appearances in movies, manages his own record label, is co-founder of a community website, has been involved in two reality shows on VH-1, and... of course... continues to produce new albums.

  • Oh, and despite what the info says, this is not a remix. This was a second video that Hammer made for Pumps In A Bump, because the original video was banned from heavy rotation on MTV. The censors deemed the depiction of Hammer in a Speedo and with what appeared to be an erection were "too graphic".

  • the dancin is on point! it is crisp and clean, and i njoyed watchin the coreography. they make it look so effortless.

  • I'll bet Deione Sanders doesn't even take Hammer's phone calls anymore.

  • Hammer was the greatest rapper entertainer worldwide, for he's still cool

  • hahahaaha "looking like ice cream ready to be served." Hammer was a douche bag with some weak ass raps. it's funny how he did you can't touch this, then he started hanging out with tupac and all of the sudden he's a wannabe gangsta rapper.

  • Do you even know why Hammer signed to Death Row Records? And as for him being a so called "douche".... It was his so called doucheness that made him move to Death Row because he made sure everyone on his staff was paid properly at the end of the day. 2 legit 2 quit?? Before you start dissin' on someone that has achieved more then you ever will, maybe you should take the time to actually learn about him. There is a reason why people still listen to him... BECAUSE HE'S GOOD!

  • I remember when Hammer came out and was on top and then I remember when all the sudden he wasn't cool. I know the image wasn't him but the song and especially the dancing is top notch.

Black people fuked up in the 90's. Now I'm not dissin any hard core rap and have a decade of rap lyrics memorized, but we fucked off Hammer..He was truly one of the best entertainers and should be up there with MJ and made it cool for brothas to dance...Instead of the dry-raping that we do now.

  • u said it so well!!!!!!!!

  • That girl on the left has been dancing a lonnng time, she is still working. She was dancing for Missy before she switched to teen dancers.

I know Aron Hall took a few freaks home that night..

  • This shit used to go hard!!!

  • Hammer's problem is that he acts like a clown instead of a King. WEAR CLOTHES THAT FIT for god's sake. His comeback needs to be more King-like. Stop bouncing around like a hyperactive teenager and start strutting more like the King of the Jungle.

Do you see Jay-Z acting foolish like this shit? Hell no...Hammer is seen as a joke because he doesn't carry himself like a King anymore. Being broke doesn't matter...most of these dumbass rappers don't have a dime but behave more King-like than Hammer.

  • SHANEEQA?????

  • Damn went from praying to girls talking about guys who can hit it all night...What a change.

  • When I see this it makes me sad. Hammer trying to be something he is not. He looks like a clownish gangster wannabe. He wasted his money on people who can't be helped. His music became repetitious and stale. I liked his first two records before he went big. What a sad story.

  • By 1993, Gansta and hard-core rap ruled the airwaves. I loved this song, but the image didn't fit him. Had he doned the look he had a year after this song came out, it would have worked because it would have been urban, but clasy. It was sad how majority of the people he tried to help didn't appreciate his genorousity.

  • i personally don't see anything "gangsta" about his new image. he was just changing his image and adapting to the modern industry. im pretty sure these clothes are what he might have normally worn anyway. the balloon pants was just a fad and never meant to last. to me he was just showing the more sexual side of himself. but the media likes to keep you in a box.

  • Me neither. He stopped wearing the baloon pants and started wearing suits, but as Hardcore rap dominated the airwaves, he adapted to the style. I agree with you about him showing his sexual side; lots of women (including my mother loved this song and dancing). I red an interview with him and he said that even though his music at that time had an edge, he wasn't going to be using profanity or call females out their name which is why alot of people hated on him for.

  • DAMN THE DANCE STEPS IS HOTTTTTTT!

  • honestly im younger than prob anyone else here posting i was 5 when this song came out n i still rather listen to this the all this bullshit that out now by these "gangsta" rappers cant wait till they make that time machine

  • this dancing was off the chain...

  • This dancing is amazing..folks don't dance like this anymore.

  • Mc Hammer was way better than "Hammer"

  • @ 1:30.. were the two girls on the guitars Salt N Pepa?

  • lol!

  • Strange, I lived through the '90s as a teenager, but I have a feeling I'll still be learning new things about those years for the rest of my life. Never saw this video before nor heard this song.

  • They cut MC Hammer down in his prime, he was headed to his prime musically when he cut this jam. Shame, he was aWesOme!

  • and plus the danincg is VERY good!!! actullly its perfect!!!!! thats wat MC hammer was known for!!!! i jus wished he jus used his money more wisley tho...but hes doin good now since hes a precher and all!

  • man when he signed with death row non of his songs ever got released becuse well...they were jus bad and he was broke lol but..this song was really not that bad!!!!!!!! i think the video was a lil chessy and cleche for its time but the song is really good!!

  • The best dancing hands down. Brings me back to me high school days!

  • he bought the oakland pd a 2 million dollar helipcopter

  • He is cracking me up in the beginning he sounds like he is high lol!!! Man that would be fun to smoke one with HAMMER I love the man to death he tried to help many people along the way maybe it was a few too many but I feel like he wanted his people to be a part of his success I admire him for that.

  • Just shake that assssss bitch an lemme see what u got!

  • 0:30 is hilarious

  • un clasico............. MC HAMMER!!!!

  • This shit is straight up untouchable. HAMMER at his best and showing his versatility. he never said he was gangsta. Mothafuuucka's was just outright jealous/hatin

  • THANK YOU !!!! SPEAK ON IT THE DANCING IS UNTOUCHABLE!! THE DANCE MOVES THE GUYS DO ARE ON FIRE i WATCH IT OVER AND OVER i THINK THIS IS ONE OF HIS BEST VIDEOS JUST UNTOUCHABLE LIKE YOU SAID.

  • yea this was lyrically his best song.

  • The thing is as crazy a switch up this was from the sequine jackets, etc., this was probably, lyrically and delivery wise, his best song.

  • Dis my favorite hammer song rite here.

  • superb! i love mc hammer ,

  • the background dancers don't wear pumps :P

  • why is he keepin the ladies shoes?

  • Hammer is sick in this damn video!!!!

  • he looks diffrend whitout glasses :P

  • lol this video is funny

  • Hammer is killin it in this video!!!!!

  • I know Hammer is remembered for being Cheesy and all..but looking at this and comparing it to the the hip-hop/ R and B that they are dishing out today, and i have to say that Hammer was damn good.

  • Lol at Hammers attempt at tryin to be tupac.

Still better than Will Smith though.

  • cant agree wit that one. look at brand new funk wit jazzy jeff and the prince

  • hammer was better for far than tupac , tupac was good but hammer was the absolute king , not only for rap , for music in general ..

    hammer was the KING ,

hammer fue el puta rey , mejor que tupac por lejos.

  • Yeah I'll agree with that

  • You have left me speechless because I agree with you! You said better than I ever could have thank you so much! He was the KING I'll always love him!

  • Primetime!

  • Venomized du bist ein groß Schweine!

  • omg when i was little i use to want to be a Hammer girl (dancer)..i was always dancin to his shit

  • Awite G...WORD!!!

  • They just dont dance like this anymore either! Now its all about hand movements; back then they put their whole body into it.

  • u are so freakin rite. i have a lil dance crew and all of them only use there hands and legs. i started danin becuase of hammer and i always try to use his style and make something new. ill post of me dancin

  • Me too. I really thought I was going to be his backup dancer when I was little lol. His style and attitude towards dancing is something everybody can learn from.

  • This is Hammer at his best, the man could always dance! is that Ricky Waters in the video??

  • yes u'er right the man can dance i love to see him dance hammer got it going on no one can dance like that

  • The guy was just trying to stay relevant.

Who can fault him? He's always been open and honest. This does suck though.

  • 3:54-4:11 might be one one the coldest dance sequences I have ever seen

  • try lookin at 0:44

  • I actually think that his dancing was better at this point then his "please Hammmer dont hurt em" days. This was bad ass.

  • 93 was like the best year.

  • this is a pathetic attempt at gangsta!! especially since he was already unique! but i still gotta give him his props cuz he is a dancen fool!! haha:)

  • This was'nt that mainstream, but it was a good song and good album. I liked when Hammer tried to go gangsta. But I liked the name MC Hammer better.

  • The dancing was TIGHT in this video. The girls were hittin' it hard.

  • Hammer should have put the footage of the other version of this video for this song in battery acid!!!

  • Is that mary at 3:51-3:54?

If it is she was getting it

    extra hard though lmao!

    Pierish Moze`
