  • Thx for telling me about no pruning cherry trees...

  • @BackyardDiscoveryCo You're welcome. Yes, it's recommended to wait until the summer, usually around June to prune your cherries.

  • Hi Patricia, Excellent gardening channel. 1000***** Regards, John.

  • So far I have enjoyed all of your videos. Great job. So,Ca in the Riverside area. Keep up the good work..

  • @bulldwgs That's great to hear! Thank you!

  • Master, Spraying fruit trees is next!

  • I can't wait for for the next one!!!! What will I learn next?

  • Michael, Go ahead and prune your new fruit trees according to the directions in the video. For more information see our blog post about pruning, through our website. With a multi-graft tree do not prune the trunk, but make a heading cut on each of the four branches.

  • When should this pruning be done in terms of the trees life? I just purchased a couple of fruit trees last weekend and I imagine I should give them a chance to get established before I proceed with this kind of pruning. Also, do any of these pruning techniques apply to multi-graft trees? Thanks!

  • It was a little weird seeing the tree at tall as your head, *after* you made the major trunk cut. I realized after that you were on your knees. Camera man should have pulled back and shown that shot. I hope my apricots do ok this season.... I DID prune mid January!

  • @MgalipeauMr Good point, and thanks for watching. Congrats on your timely pruning!
