Electing someone like John McCain, Hilary Clinton, or Barack Obama isn't going to get us any closer to the free society we're supposed to be. We will continue to be overtaxed. I don't dislike Americans or anything but why do they clap and cheer after every sentence of the speaker? In the UK it is almost always left until the end of a speech, or a speaking point. I think its better that way so you're not simply giving feedback for each sentence but the judgement of all that is said and not just rhetoric or sound bites

Ron Paul the most honourable guy, If he was at war he would kill like a gentleman. I hope he keeps safe and well. I don't base my view of the world on a fantasy film. You need to understand what terrorism is and how it works. It is not the same as guerrilla warfare or an insurgency. Those are directed against soldiers and military targets. Terrorism is exclusively directed at civilians, especially women and children, to create a sense of terror. That is what is happening in Iraq.

Do you honestly think death was invented by the US and no one is Iraq was dying before we invaded? You need to do some research into what Iraq was like before we invaded. Take some time and figure out want the first attack cost this country economically. A second or third attack could devastated our economy. You really need to get your facts straight. The UN imposed sanctions were the result of Saddam violating the cease-fire. Exceptions were made for food and medicine. It was called "Oil for Food". However Saddam never used the money for food but to corrupt the UN and continue starving his people. As for "routine" bombing, that is another false assertion. We had planes on patrol in both the North and South of Iraq to keep Saddam from killing the people. How blind can you be!

Our economy is being even more devastated by this war that has cost us nearly a TRILLION dollars. The Pentagon has already released a statement verifying that there was no connection between Al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein. You believe your government when they tell you lies, but when they tell you the truth you don't want to listen.
They motivate us by utilizing the fear of "another attack." NO attack comes unprovoked, including 9/11. It is the result of nearly 100 years of US intervention.

What is killing our economy is OVERSPENDING by to government. I have never said there was a connection between the two. However Al Qaeda is in Iraq NOW. We are killing and/or capturing them there NOW. This is the President's strategy and it is working to prevent another attack. Terrorism is not about being provoked or our "intervention".
