@ericssson Mainly because they can choose what they want, it's open to them to choose it if they want but like the Green Berets, they might have weapons they have custom made for themselves that we dont know of.

The Green Berets custom made the Stoner, we can never say for sure they dont use them. We don't even know what they get upto so we cant say what they use.

@IH8CHAVS1223 Every time the bolt is operated you forward assist mate, be it NSP, making ready, unloading. EVERY time. Indded I was a little over zealous, however drills save lives and I'd rather lay into someone than have someone end up dead because they don't know their drills. I NDd on a range at Catterick and trust me I never ever made that mistake again ;)

I've used the L85A1 and that was a right piece of shit. I know the L85A2 was reworked by Heckler & Koch so I bet it's a decent weapon now. The government paid about 90 million to have it done but it would've cost less to issue the British army with M4s or another proven design. The SAS flatly refused to use it 'cos it's crap but I suppose he can't say that on camera.

The L85a1 was almost as shit for reliability as the M-16 but, the new L85a2 is BEAST quite reliable!
