This is not Bach violin sonata BWV 1001 at all. It is the Sarabande from Lute Suite 1, BWV 996 followed by Gavotte. The age gave flavor to the master. His hands slower but still great sensibility!

Of course! The Sarabande is followed by the Bourree originally, but in this video by Gavotte en Rondeau from lute Suite IV (or Partita E major for violin).
No, dear Django, - such masters as Segovia, do not die. And it is unimportant, that it is not present on the ground 24 years - its surprising art will live until in the person there is a need in fine.
SEGOVIA IS MY HERO!

Segovia certainly is the greatest guitarist of the present: anybody still did not manage to reach such noble sounding of the tool.

The muscles in Segovia's hands were just awesome! Like a bodybuilder on roids!
I've never seen another guitar player with hands as strong as his.

che, que lindo que tocaba el maestro. es esa la palabra, tocaba lindo. Cosa que muchos con "100 veces mas técnica" no logran.

Great! I always find Segovia to be a spiritual player. Shame about the shambolic sound quality though (distortion at peaks).

He must have been truly amazing in his prime if he played like that at such an advanced age.

The first piece is the Sarabande BWV 996, not 1001.
The second is the Gavotte 1006.
Es ist ganz ordentlich gespielt.
