the song is moving when d.s rock it, but i mean it sounded tailored and knopflers voice cascaded around it, it was a complete gem, lisa captures the original emotion that knopfler would have approved of (citation needed) but she builds on what I originally though was complete and beautiful as it was, i remember years ago thinking to myself, this would be one song that i doubt i will hear a better version of and it now reflects my ignorance in thinking that. i love this version.

I think why everyone is so mad is cos the original is effing unbelievable hence why people get annoyed when it gets covered "inferiorly". People don't get that like a version isnt a cover by a person in a cover band, or at the pub, but a legitimate artists interpretation of the song. i dont really think there are any "bad" like a versions, just different takes on the original.

The song doesn't have any rythm, and the incredibly sweet as sugar and "cute" way of singing, makes this into somewhat of a parody for me. This interpretation doesn't float my boat. It's her own style, which she does amazingly. Initially I wasn't a Lisa Mitchell fan, but after hearing this cover my opinion was changed.
