  • Can are such an underrated band. Love this record.

  • sick video dude

  • @batavianism Some weird thing. Can never made any official videos.

  • Can, an invaluable quirk to the music world as we know it. And so underrated.

  • envoutant, obsédant ... mais ces rythmes et cette guitare me font toujours le même effet depuis des siècles et des siècles ... amen :o)

  • TOTALLY hear where Happy Mondays copped this style...even down to the vocal

  • @FNTM3rd exactly!!

  • "Searchin' for my front door, yes I am!"

  • Jaki Liebezeit is one of the greats, brilliant on this track

  • Hahahaha my old friends Holger,Damo,Jacky bring me coffee

  • irreverentes can hohohohohohohhoh.

  • This is Happy Mondays, Tuesdays, Weds, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, since 20 years ago.

  • In 2006, when I was a junior in high school, I put this masterpiece of a song over a Powerpoint project about billiards for my computers class. Everyone thought I was weirdest kid in school and they were probably right, haha.

  • The sound quality is really perfect for a long time ago " Krautrock"

  • Can was a band that today represents a teaching a lesson to explore in an original way the uncharted lands of music. New generations have a lot of ship perhaps in certain way some people into underground hip-hop pretend to experiment, but most of all look for mainstream music to have a stupid hit in charts.

  • 9 perfect minutes!

  • Thanks man

  • lol this video is trip-tastic

  • mirror video trick 4ever

  • with pink floyd and led zeppelin....they are the best band of all times!

  • @toolaek Nice taste :)

  • Had this track been released around 1989 by a Mancunian band we would have called it "Madchester".

  • @comingunstrong wrong way round - a certain Manchester band took this track and Donovan's 'Barabajagal' as the blueprint for pretty much everything they did

  • i just cannot possibly understand why i've never listened to their music. This is a masterpiece

  • Genius.

  • great precussions this song isnt long enough!

  • This video is fucking intense!!!

  • esta cancion dura 18 minutos...no pueden cortarla asi!!

    translation:

this song is 18 minutes long, who da fuck cutted it?

  • @TheEasytimes

    lmfao

  • @TheEasytimes

    Holger czukay, maybe?

  • f***ing luv this, used to hav it all on vinyl yonks ago

  • f***ing awesome video. makes me love the song even more than I already do.

  • Probably the best band I have ever unearthed on my own!

  • This song is wonderful. I only found it 2 weeks ago on my birthday. It is from 1971 but sounds so much like the Happy Mondays circa 1991 and here it is 2011. I guess someone is due to repeat it soon.

  • What a song! definitely my favorite on the album. So good!!

  • Right around 3:50 when the guitar enters and the bass starts thumping and the drummer starts riffing is my favorite part. Blows my mind every time.

  • Missing half of the song, It's still fucking great!

  • @BetterTasteThanU

yeah we all wouldnt have to hear your crap

  • the drummer(jaki)was born in dresden

i am proud to be a dresdner

  • just near to perfection

  • Someone *disliked* this? That's a mistake, right?

  • Great memories with Damo and Holger in Bruehl (the cinema time) Matratzen Lager lol

  • my name is Alan Ballbag! great to know you my friends!

  • Music still hasn't caught up with Can. Amazing stuff.

  • Thanks a lot for this great video =)

  • This song could go on forever and I would still listen

  • jaki liebezeit and damo suzuki. fuck hell fuck hell yeah

  • yeah this vid is pscychedelic--you're troubled, which is a correct response to the past, present, and future.

  • Hey! who made the video?!

I knew about the band but i haven't heard this song until yesterday night! i couldn't sleep so i turned some college radio and it was playing! WOW! :D love it!

  • nice breakbeat

  • Comment removed

  • Perfect video for inducing seizures and aneurysms

  • holy fucking nutter bucket. this musik is the beeeezneeeeeeez!

  • At 2:07 Jaki Liebezeit grows 8 arms.

  • @chimike19 hahaahaha yeah

what a bad ass octopus he s

  • I would have never herd of this if it wasn't for the the band Supergrass

  • @TheJurneyMan what is the connection with Supergrass out of interest?

  • @gamester57

The British rock band Supergrass announced they were making an album called 'Release the Drones'. It was said that the album was inspired by the band CAN. However the band split up and 'Release the Drones' was never made available.

  • @TheJurneyMan Sod supergrass! We are in the presence of Can. No britpop minnows are fit to be mentioned in their presence.

  • @gamester57 thanks be to gOD for small mercies

  • haha

I'm liking the shots of frisco ! nice vid. TRiPpy

  • Great video--it makes the music sound even better!

  • best song of all time, and as awesome as this video is it is seriously hurting due to the missing 9 minutes. rhythm section here = jawdropping.

  • this video is ridiculously well made for this ridiculously good song.

  • fascinating and very worthwhile

  • Unadulterated genius. Jaki Liebezeit is without a doubt the greatest drummer ever to sit behind a kit. The man machine...

  • can is heavy dope

  • watched this stoned scary as shit its like a message FUCKING CRAZY!!!

  • Yeeeeoooooww!!!

  • That groove is enough to make my dick hard

  • god damn that's funky.

  • I thnk it'll be cool if commercial pinheads auctually played em beats thm selfs

it sounds so much larger thn life. Thts th dif between just singer/dancing fool and a true talented musician. Its jus all razel dazzel em

  • ROBOT DRUMMING!!! 18 minutes and he does not miss a beat.

  • @Raisingthefawn This was one of the tunes that made me crazy as beginning drummer... the robots name is Jacky Liebezeit. He and Curt Cress from germany defined what human metrum is long before they used to record with click worldwide

  • Yep, true, I can't count the times the room has started spinning ,while I've been listening to can +

  • HAPPY MONDAYS !.....nuff said....

  • Yeah but 20 years before the Mondays. Ryder was still in nappies when this came out. Although he probably is in nappies again now...

  • @MrsFish7 right!!!

  • Can is past amazing to me, the realms that they visit are prompted by the parts of life that want more everything. Thankyou for making/posting this .

  • this song+video makes drunk people vomit, and seazure victims convulse, A+ for that, used it on friends who needed to puke, much better than a stomach pump lol.

  • That was the urban legend. That live can concerts would be so intense that people would puke..

  • Nah dude fact, I played it for these two drunks they both became overwhelmed wide eyed and lost it.

  • @afghooey Yeah he was just saying there is an urban legend about how people would puke because of the intensity of their music. After all, they would play three- four hour live sets...

  • Fuck, I cant believe I've only just discovered this band.

    This is near perfect music.

So ahead of its time. Timeless.

    Fuck!

  • @peanutpeanut123 For further "perfection" check out CAN's Future Days...awesome & perfect!

  • @cheeezdooodle and of sourse soundtracks!!!another masterpiece too!

  • @peanutpeanut123

Maybe you don't know about 13th floor elevators, the seeds, captain beefheart, canned heat too. Check em.

  • Aaargghhhh!!! The song's not complete!!!!

Was waiting for the manic chorus from Damo at the end.

    Still great video though!

  • trippy motheefocka

  • we watched this on acid turned up with a full screen - unbelievably awesome

  • i saw fantasia on acid last sat

  • First heard this when Johnny Rotten played it on the Capital Radio programme with Nicky Horne "A Punk And His Music". Johnny really opened my ears and my mind with his selections that night and introduced me to a lot of stuff I've loved ever since (e.g. Dr Alimatado, CAN, Tim Buckley). This still sounds as amazing now as it did back in 77 when I first heard it....(lovely vid too)....

  • This video is as visionary as the song. I feel as though I'm hearing it for the first time again.

  • If there was no internet, I would not know about so much good music.

  • @3rdcoastnyucka So support hackers that claim that internet will over soon..

  • It's very hard to wacth this!!

    but the song is good

  • this is a great album to listen to while stuck in traffic.

  • Mami beautiful

  • video is just as euphoric as the song itself.

    amazing stuff dude

  • props

  • outstanding effort.

  • joya

  • great

  • el álbum más recomendable de la historia de la música. OJO! no es una música fácil.
