  • Do they use guns in Strangers a lot?

  • @CI5AgentSweeps Not really. In series 1 & 2, they rarely pulled out a piece, although there were one or two exceptions near the end of series 2. Series 3 was when they started to use their guns a bit more.

  • BTW: Who's your favourite character? I'm guessing it's Bulman but it could be Willis :) Mine is Lambie, with Bulman in close second. I don't find Strangers as enjoyable as Pros or The Sweeney but I still quite like it :)

  • @CI5AgentSweeps It's Bulman followed by Willis. They are a great double act and very likeable, sort of like a slightly gentler version of Regan and Carter. I think Lambie is a great hard-man copper with lots of funny lines, but I prefer Haskins.

  • Banner, I like it so much that I downloaded the scene so I can watch it off-line as well! BTW: The actual scene in the ep where Bulman runs down the corridor, is it slightly speeded up? :)

  • @CI5AgentSweeps Nice one. BTW how exactly do you download it? I think it might be, but even better is the ending credits scene where you see him run in slow-motion - badass!

  • YT downloader, I probably think that is fast because it's slow mo in the credits!! :) Yeah, Bulman sorta overkilled that guy, fired his shotgun 5 times and then cocked it right in that guys face! Regan would be proud!

  • @CI5AgentSweeps Cheers! Just watched that clip and Bulman seemed to hit him twice in the chest - the first few shots hit the wall and ceiling. This may sound cruel, but it's quite funny when Rutter thinks they are moving him out when in fact, they are trying to kill him - lesson : never ever shoot your own brother-in-law!

  • The deaths in Strangers are quite gritty at times!

  • @CI5AgentSweeps I always saw Strangers as a follow-up to The Sweeney - two tough London coppers handling dangerous and at time violent cases, but instead of the capital, they get to go to other places like Manchester, Liverpool, Scarborough and Edinburgh.

  • Yeah, I like the whole "location" aspect of the show :)

  • It's even cooler then Willis using a shotgun in A&D :)

  • @CI5AgentSweeps He missed, whereas Bulman didn't! :)

  • Oh yeah, Bulman didn't miss...in the end! The fact how he had to fire 5 shots to kill one guy means his shooting was a bit inaccurate, but shotguns are unless they are used at a close range. BTW How many people did Willis kill in the series?

  • @CI5AgentSweeps You know your guns :). Derek killed only one - Shove Christie (Soldiers Of Misfortune). Vanessa accidentally killed one bad guy in Free Weekend In The Country (series 5).

  • As I'm sure you do as well my friend, which part of FWITC? I'm coverting the clip from ADGP as we speak (type!) :) I'm doing a killcount vid :)

  • @CI5AgentSweeps The bit near the end of FWITC when they're chasing that bad guy near the top of the house.

  • The scene with Bulman running down the corridor during the credits at the end of the ep must have been a deleted scene because only part of it is included here

  • @CI5AgentSweeps That's what I noticed, too. :) BTW what did you think of this action scene, Sweeps? IMO right on a par with The Sweeney and The Pros.

  • When I showed this to my brother-in-law, he thought Rutter looked like Mick Jagger *lol*.

  • Bulman was one seriously mean dude in this clip. Jack Regan would have given him a medal of honour for this.

Blinding action here and good to see Rutter almost on the receiving end. Mo Colbourne left us too early. :(

  • At 8:00, things really hot up!

"You're not going anywhere, friend. You're for the chop!"
