  • I might be getting one of these cars for my late birthday present :)

  • You are a lucky man!

  • nice car, but i think its time tah upgrade from the scooby doo cam...

  • Why do u have it in the snow

  • I got a 90 RS all original, wish it was iroc though D:

  • take it out on that ice, should be rather fun!!

  • see if your buddy who helped you find this, can find me one too! ;)

i'm from winnipeg, 18yrs old and want to get one so bad haha

  • dis fool must not no how much gas he wastin... man crazy boah...

  • @DoughBoiJohn he aint wasting it, v8s never waste gas they use it

  • Do Canadians say 'zed'? instead of 'zee' like Americans?

  • I like how its like, everything in this car is original... so here is how im going to modify it XD

  • Exhaust don't sound OEM

  • Those wheels original ?

  • Dude, your wife let's you cheat on her? AWESOME!

  • Nice IROC, it sure looks clean looking. The white looks sharp. I just bought my first IROC last year, it's a black 86 IROC with T-tops and has the 305 4 barrel T5 transmission. I to am changing the motor out to a 350 4 bolt main crate motor, not sure with what cam I'm going to go with? Just bought the subframe connectors and the fuel line hook ups for a 650 Edelbrock carb . It's going to be a fun car when I'm done, well after I blow up the T5 transmission and convert it to a 6 speed.

  • I'm just glad I could clear it up, great looking car man.

  • if you have a 3spd its not original unless your not including OD, it will have a 700R-4 trans which is a 4 speed trans 3 and a OD(4th)

  • @kiba22222 - Yes you are right. For some reason I was confused regarding the 700R4 - must have been the few beers I had...

  • Is a 89 iroc 350 T tops worth 3500 if it needs paint and some tlc

  • Yes they did come with the 5.7 and T-tops in 1989! I have the exact same car "mirror image" and in the exact same condition! I am the original owner of mine, and it has 66,000 miles! Beautiful car!!! Be proud!!!

  • when i turn 16 in a year my grandpa is passing me down one of theese. perfect condition, 10k miles. cherry red. the best part tho is that when i get it im installing subs, new rims. and a 3% tint, im so exited!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You and are are very similar! I turned 42 two years ago and had always wanted an IROC so I went out and bought one--1988 IROC with the 5.7 litre and T-Tops--a few more miles than yours--106,000 but all original and in excellent condition. Ive now owned it for 2 years and still love the car! Its my baby in the summertime! Congrats on buying a beautiful car!

  • how does it run in the snow

  • I'm completely in love with this car.

Have been since i was a kid.

Where did you find it ?

    and how much was it?

  • nice

  • great video. i love the camero iroc-z.

  • they didnt put 350s in t-top cars did they ??

  • @rockband186 - You bet they did - right from factory. This is one of them.

  • @rockband186 um no they didt you could only have t tops with a 305 so either this guy must of had a motor swap or was told wrong

  • @rockband186 the '86 350 didnt have T-tops

  • beautiful car! best wishes! I have the exact year, model, options package etc. except my interior is tan colored...

  • @KillaKhris504 - Thank-you. I am truly blessed owning this car.

  • congrats on the iroc, i have an 89 as well. all stock except the exhaust with a flowmaster 80 series. Great cars, tons of fun, its nice to see a stock camaro, not one all thugged out or modified. gotta love the original 16" irocs. good luck with everything and enjoy

  • @1997z28guy - Thanks man. I still don't believe I own it most days as I walk past it in the garage. It is a true thrill.

  • Lucky really has nothing to do with it. I worked my ass off for 20 years until I could afford it and here I am today. I wish you the same success in achieving your goals/dreams...

  • lucky

  • i love this gen camaro and i cannot wait untill i save up enough money to buy me one. itll be a lil hard considering im only 17, but i think i could pull it off over the summer. i have one quick question. you say the car has alot of torque, not horsepower. whats that exactly mean i know thats a dumb question but im newer to cars and i dont want to sound stupid when im trying to talk about cars with other people. thanks

  • @jaysher813

Good luck with saving up for your Camaro - it's truly worth it. Torque is your bottom end in the engine and driveline - it is what gets you off the line, it is what pulls the car. The 350 has about 350 ft/lbs of torque which can break the tires loose at slower speeds. The horsepower is the top end of the engine, it is what gets you to middle and maximum speed. This 350 only has about 235 horsepower. Either way, these cars are really a joy to drive and sound great, even stock.

  • @TheWheelman1970 so pretty much if ur at a lower speed and you floor it your going to burn out because of the power that your car has?

  • Looks kind of like my 18th birthday present to MYSELF! except mine is, like you mentioned most are, modified like crazy and has been thoroughly thrashed. But it was cheap and fast so I don't mind since I'm gonna mod it more anyway. And, before anyone mentions it, I will NOT street race it. ONLY on the race track, where it is legal and safe. I don't want to take a chance at crashing my baby I worked so many months for.

  • My best friend, who had the ultimate misfortune of " also " being named Jeff Gordon had one of these. It was the 1st car he ever bought with his own money. His was black with gold trim. It was freaking' sweet. But after he graduated, and started college, his father talked him into selling it. So with a tear in his eye, he let it go. 2 weeks later, the guy he sold it to, let his 16 yro son take it out, and the douche-bag kid promptly flipped it over twice, and destroyed it.

  • She looks amazing man.I bought one from a friend of mine Three months ago and it's got to be the best buy I have ever made in my 24 years. It's a 1989 305 with a Five speed manual trans with T-Tops and it only has 56,000 miles on it. I'm the Third owner and I love her to death, she has a couple things need fixed but its nothing I can't handle.

  • i got the same care from my moms bf all it needs is paint and some lil things he gave it to me free but i love the car

  • hey man, i am 16 and my grandparents are willing to give me a old one of this type of car for free, the problem is that the engine wont start, the tires are busted, the paint is peeling off, and the inside is alright with some rips in the interior. my question was should i pay to fix that car up or just sell it for parts and get a whole new one

  • @wudyoukindly

There are fewer and fewer IROC's on the road every month. Do this heritage of car a favour and restore her. Do not part her out. You'll be glad you did.

  • dont put a crate engine in it. keep it stock. its a true iroc but it wont be if you start modifying it. why isnt it a 10 tho?

  • Not sure what I am going to do yet - would just be nice to have 400 horses prancing under the hood. I say the car is a 9/10 because there's a few minor paint flaws. The car originally had louvers on it and the paint is a little scuffed in a couple of spots where the first layer of louvers lay on the paint. Also, the badging behind the front left tire has a slight gash in it but that's about it. I am very pleased with the car anyways for 21 years old.

  • you can have 400hp with the 350tpi. you put in aluminum heads, a cam, and headers, youve pretty much at an ls1 stage.. i did alll that and put in a perfomance chip, aluminum air intake and shift kit for my 700r4 tranny. i spank every mustang i see and keep up if not blow by the 4th generation camaro and firebirds with the ls1 and lt1 engines.

  • @89iroc350 ive got pretty much all the same mods and 6 speed. do you KNOW what kind of power your making or are you just guestimating? im pretty sure mines got almost, if not over, 350 horse, but i know these motors make a lot more torque than horsepower so we might both be mistaken unless youve done a dyno.

  • very nice

  • I Like The Video But I Just Had One Question.

You Said You Were Gonna Pop The Hood and You Popped The Hatchback (3:03), Then You Started Talking About The Engine While Looking In The Rear Cargo Area & T-Top Bag (3:13), Was There A Reason You Did It That Way or Did You Space On It?

  • @anthraxmikeydoolin

I knew someone would catch me on the hood thing. I had popped it before I started filming and it shut itself so going back to the car I meant to say "hatch" not "hood" but that's what came out. Also, I had about 6 beers in me at that point and rambled a bit. The exhaust growl reminded me of the engine when I went around back - that's why I rambled on about the 350 again. Thanks for watching.

  • lucky man... never get rid of her!!!

  • Hole Crap 89 Views as of Now (Jan. 13 2010 3:25pm) '89 IROC

  • I apologize the video quality is poor. I downloaded it from a miniDVD camcorder which looked perfect. Don't know why it went fuzzy during the upload. If anyone has an idea how to fix it I would love to hear from you.

  • beautiful car man, I am about to buy myself one for my 27th birthday, lol but more of a restore project than a beautiful survivor like yours..... congrats!!

  • Thanks. I walk by it everyday in the garage (I will only drive it in the summer) and know how lucky I am. A restore project can be a ton of fun too - good luck with yours and make sure to post some video on here.

  • You're right, that is a beautiful car. I had to sell mine a while back but it was a hell of a lot of fun. Not a lot of HP, but the 350 TPI had good torque. Excellent handling too. I think you're wrong in the beginning, you most definitely have a 4-speed auto, not 3 speed. unless you're not including the OD. Congrats man.

  • Thanks man and yes you're right - it's a 4 spd auto including the overdrive. I just checked the original window sticker again. I guess you could watch the video then? I can't get it to play on my end - wierd...

  • This is a good video I assure you - it just won't play. Is fully uploaded just won't play and don't know why. Any suggestions?
