  • wtf!? where's the second half of the story? :(

  • Narrated by the young and fresh! Robin Williams!

  • Oh WOW! I remember watching this 20 years ago! I had no idea it was Robin Williams who'd narrated it. I like this version far better than the Disney version... This Bill is loveable and the Disney Bill was kinda a jerk...

  • I remember seeing this in the 1st grade. Good times. Good Times...

  • I wanna see the just so stories!

  • @amalfi5000

Have you seen any Rabbit Ears videos before?

  • @Rabbitearsblog A couple of'em. I like the brer rabbit and the just so stories like... the camel, leopard and rhino. How about u?

  • @amalfi5000

I loved watching "The Fool and the Flying Ship," "Brer Rabbit and Boss Lion," "How the Camel Got His Hump and How the Rhinoceros Got His Skin," "Pecos Bill," "The Three Billy Goats Gruff and the Three Little Pigs" and so many more! I loved watching Rabbit Ears videos when I was a child and I still watch them to this day!

  • why didn't you put the whole video up?

  • Someone should put up full videos of these kinds of movies, I've only heard the stories on library CDs

  • I am dying to get my hands on a copy of the Jack Nicholson/Bobby McFerrin collaboration for Rabbit Ears Productions.

  • @ruejacobs

Me too!! I loved all the Rabbit Ears stories, especially "The Fool and the Flying Ship."

  • @ruejacobs are you pulling my leg??GAWD i can see the possiblities already Please tell more?if there is more to tell.

  • Thumbs up if you think Sterling Holloway would be a good narrator to some of these stories.

  • Yes, and the coyote knows english and communicates well with the cowboy... O_o

  • MY GRANDPA WAS A COWBOY.

  • Naked Bill oh no

  • why qas this in the Dane Cook playlist?

  • nudity in a pbs kids show? So im assuming that this was for all ages?

  • is there a part 2 on youtube?

  • I got the CD for "Pecos Bill," & there was a small amount of music in there, not enough to use for "Home on the Range."

  • That is some mouth Pecos Bill has on himself!

  • I'm not much of a Ry Cooder fan, but I thought he did a magnificent job doing the music for Pecos Bill.

  • Well one of my favorite scenes is where Pecos finds his rattlesnake rope and where he rides on the cougar's back, and he meets Sourdough Slim, I also like the stinging guitar music at the scene where Bill tries out his rattlesnake rope, and the cougar's voice was really funny, and the part where he picks his teeth with the wagon wheel. I also like the part where he meets Widdomaker his horse, and Old Blue the steer.

  • who showed these films! I Watched them all the time when I was a kid. Who showed them?

  • I always thought Tim Raglin was one of the most great artist on Rabbit Ears. I loved the drawings he did for Pecos Bill and Just so stories.

  • @RingoandCarlin

Yeah they were so colorful and I really loved the image he did of Pecos Bill!!

  • @Rabbitearsblog Yeah I love the colors he used, also I love the background he did and the animals he drew, though when I first saw Pecos Bill around age three or four I thought the cougar was really freaky looking, I had no idea it even was a cougar

  • @RingoandCarlin

Yeah! I thought that the cougar looked freaky too when I was little, especially since it was bigger than Pecos Bill and it had scary looking eyes! BTW, did you think that the images in "The Fool and the Flying Ship" were freaky?

  • @Rabbitearsblog I thought they did resemble paintings done by Picasso

  • @RingoandCarlin

Oh, like the surreal quality of Piscasso's works?

  • @Rabbitearsblog Yeah a lot like that one. Also I thought the fool kind of resembled Robin Williams

  • @RingoandCarlin

He did? Well, when you think about it, the fool is a little bit like Robin Williams! :D

  • @Rabbitearsblog He is a bit like Robin Williams

  • @RingoandCarlin

He has the same personality as Robin williams?

  • @Rabbitearsblog You know, I don't know.

  • @RingoandCarlin

Oh. What was your favorite part in Pecos Bill?

  • @Rabbitearsblog That's a hard question for me to answer, there are a lot great parts in Pecos Bill

  • @RingoandCarlin

Yeah! I guess the best part for me would be where Pecos Bill is riding the cyclone!

  • @Rabbitearsblog I like that scene too.

  • @RingoandCarlin is the rest of the story on youtube or only this first bit?

  • @DeepGreenRiver1 Only the first bit is on youtube.

  • I really liked Robin Williams in this, also in The Fool and the flying ship, I also loved the Russian music in The Fool and the flying ship, also he was really great in Aladin, Shakespear animated, RV, and more, though I haven't seen him in Hook but I hope to see it soon to find out if its good or not.

  • @RingoandCarlin

I really liked the movie Hook! He was brilliant in it! I really loved The Fool and the Flying Ship! Who was your favorite character in it?

  • @Rabbitearsblog I would have to say the fool was my favorite character, though I also liked the harry looking character and the one with the long gun.

  • @RingoandCarlin

I loved the runner who had long legs, the puffer who had hairy hair and the eater who was the green guy.

  • Rabbit ears was one of the things that made me want to make art and I thank Rabbit ears with it's great art, music, and stories for making me an artist.

  • @RingoandCarlin

I love Rabbit Ears too!!! It was because of Rabbit Ears, I loved reading all types of folktales to this very day!!!

  • @Rabbitearsblog Me too. Paul Bunyan was my favorite folk hero of all. I loved the just so stories too that Jack Nicholson and Danny Glover read, and Beatrix Potter stories that meril Streep read.

  • @RingoandCarlin

I really loved the Just So Stories of Jack Nicholson too, especially when he did How the Rhinoceros Got His Skin and how the Camel Got his hump! I loved the way that Bobby McFerrin provided the music for both stories! It was awesome!!! :D

  • @Rabbitearsblog I also loved Bobby McFerrin's music. It is awesome!

  • yeah, I wanted to see the whole version too. What was your favorite part in this story? Mine's was the part where Pecos Bill was fighting the cyclone.

  • would be nice the english language be 100% universal, I didnt know this wonderful stories, till now, at my 35 years old, never is late, is true, haha, will take me like 5 years to recover the lost time, here I go !!!!!

  • Oh man, I so wish I could see the rest of it. There's so much more of it I remember from when I saw it as a kid that I want to see again. I remember the scene where the steer charges at Bill which was friggin' hilarious!

  • Oh yeah!! I remember that scene, especially when the steer laid an egg!!!

  • hooodeedoooh ! oh god this is too funny

  • I know!! I always used to watch this all the time!!!

  • I love this. We used to borrow it from the library all the time.

  • Have u seen the other Rabbit Ears stories before?

  • I don't think so. Just this one.

  • What was your favorite part in this story?

  • Hmm, I dunno.

When he gets the snake it's pretty awesome.

  • I thought the part where he fights with the tornado was pretty good since there is so much drama in that scene.

  • Yeah, he is extremely funny with all his accents. I just hate it when he talks like a gangster. That one gets on my nerves a bit, but this was great. Did he do it totally improv, you think?

  • Yeah, I thought he was awesome. Hey, have u heard of any other Rabbit Ears stories b4?

  • that was some crazy-ass shit!
