  • DOPE!!! DONT EVEN NEED TO BE HIGH FOR THIS, ENDORFINS KICKING IN HIGH GEAR RIGHT NOW...

  • @djksolo

No enhancements needed for this song. This is PURE QUALITY!!!!

This makes me sooooo high anyway. Leroy Hutson the King!!!!

Sing this to some nice lady and see what can happen?

Used to sing this down the road when I was high! the best!

  • i love leroy hutson....

  • @arlingtonandy word, me too.

  • @ardentepatience we both love him.

  • "so in love with you" is a nice song also

  • i like is very cool

  • I know only this song from him...thing it´s the best!

  • check out "all because of you"

  • Not bad version.... prefer the more "earthy" , mid-early 70's version of it though.

  • Try this CD.

Lucky Fellow: Best of Leroy Hutson

    - 1973 to 1979

You will find some superb soul from back in the days although a couple of tracks that are not on there are worth downloading as well from itunes. Try Classy Lady, Love the way you make me feel and Lovers Holiday. And yes Imerica, the 1st time i ever heard that Eryka Badu track, i said to myself "wow, she is sampling Leroy Hutson" It was JOY to my ears as i love her music too! Good stuff people!

  • Anyone got the lyrics?

  • way ahead of his time

  • MAN - truly in touch with his era and in the same breath way ahead of his time! I bought this album soley on the strength of the album cover alone (I picked up every copy that would come across every since). I had no idea that the album was such a serious groove! They used to play "Cool Out" on the jazz station back in the early 80s as one of those "sleeper hits" that folks missed out on back in the day. Leroy Hutson is the TRUTH y'all.

  • I didn't know that. I love it anyhow. Who is the original artist?

  • maurice williams

  • sorry maurice jackson, my mistk

  • I just said this on another post featuring LeRoy's song but when I hear his voice, I hear Maxwell. He had a beautiful voice, man.

This is the original song, by the way. I have the album.

Also, did anyone notice that the hook to this song is featured in Erykah Badu's "No Love"?

  • yeah i have the LP too, but this was not his song. it's a cover

  • Leroy Hutson is one of my favorites and this is a great song.. but I still think the original is better, just not as funky.

  • Great post.

  • Smooth!!!!!

My husband I went to a 70's party dressed just like this!

  • you can see y ltj samples pure class... love from al the funk.

  • erykah badu sampled this song. I forget what song. I like the groove of the song. It is real smooth

  • sampled 4 'No Love' on Baduizm

  • Hat Song very Soulful. Plus the Cover is on some Fly Shit for real. Looking like a real Pimp.

  • I'm going to take a picture of my album. LOL I thought I was the only one who had a LeRoy Hudson Album. lol

  • No I got his CD and Album. Leroy was unbelieveable back in the 70's. I still love him

  • this is a dream come true.

  • soul supreme, adored this track for years, was quite surprised to find out it was a remake of a maurice williams original, leroy you little tinker you kept that under wraps

  • ...50 years ahead of its time....produced in 1973...unbelieveable...

  • As good as the Average White Band !!!

  • better

  • Is that Lonnie Liston Smith in the background? This is a smooth song by Leroy Hutson!

  • ...from the time when soul was soul music.....
