  • WHAT A BULL SHIT VIDEO THIS IS NOT TRUE IN THIS OPERATION THE AMERICANS GOT THEIR BUTTS KICK BY THE WEHRMACHT ANTI AIRCRAFT UNITS AND BY THE LUFTWAFFE SQUADRONS THEY LOST OVER 55% OF ALL THEIR AIRCRAFT

  • @PanzerLehr88 Shut up. At least these men were brave enough to go on this mission flying at tree top level with possibly no fighter escort or protection while trying to destroy massive oil fields with flak and AA exploding all around them watching their comrads perish infront of them. If it were you on this important raid you would shit your self and crash into the ground jerk. :)

  • 109 e is easyer?

  • you are supposed to dive on them so they can't get a shot...

  • Why did you use the Bf-109E?The Germans used the Bf-109G in -43.

  • @NightmareGbg it doesnt have to be historcially correct...

  • I'm reading a book about Operation Tidal Wave right now. Since I'm a HUGE WWII "fan?" This video was done so well that it actually made me emotional thinking about these guys fighting for their lives over this very difficult target in 1943. Heroes All!

  • nice!

  • Very nicely done.

  • 2:30 THE KRAUT DESERVED IT LOL!!!

  • Outstanding. This is one of the very best IL-2 videos ever. The only thing I can possible wish were different would be more plane and combat sounds above the musical background. But that is really a matter of personal preference.

This video makes my own efforts look pathetic. Please do some more, even though I know this is a LOT of work.

  • Awesome is not high enough praise. I would like to see you talk with some of Tidal Wave aficionados at the Tidal Wave group at Yahoo. It would be great if you could animate "what was planned" versus "what actually happened" as near as anyone can figure out. There were 3 groups of planes bombing Ploesti from 3 different directions all at low altitude. The defenders were amazed that the US had coordinated such a audacious plan. We hadn't. My uncle Hughes died at Campina - Medal of Honor recipient.

  • The 328th Bombardment Squadron of the 93rd Bombardment Group was in this raid. The 328th's CO, Lt Col Addison Baker was the pilot of the B24 "Hell's Wench". Maj. John Jerstad was co-pilot. The Wench took hits, but Col Baker and Maj Jerstad controled the aircraft leading their section to their target before going down in a field with the loss of the entire crew. For their courage, heroism and leadership under fire, Col Baker and Maj Jerstad were awarded the Medal of Honor.

  • It's gamers like you posting great video & with terrific musical scores, that my roommate has bought themselves IL2 online at EBay this week. Well done!
