  • My all-time, hands-down, no question about it FAVOURITE MOVIE!! I own the Criterion Collection dvd and yet....here I am. Again. LOL

  • This is magic music. I sang it all the time when I graduated from high school - to keep up my spirits

  • He died in Watford and she died in Beaconsfield - ah well it's a funny old world.

  • Davy, you son of a gun! I'm just now watching this on Turner! How are you? How's the Western forum?

    Karen

  • @HotVoodooWitch Am I the right David Cairns? Do I know any western forum? Not sure. How did we meet?

  • This is my favourite film------perfect.

  • Love this song, my mother used to sing it all the time. Came as a surprise when i watched the film.

  • Another exceptional confection from Messrs. Powell & Pressburger, without a doubt one of THE most remarkable team of filmmakers in the history of the cinema.

The Criterion Collection edition includes the marvelous 1994 documentary "I Know Where I’m Going! Revisited," which includes excerpts of interviews with Martin Scorsese and Pressburger's grandson (amongst others).

Were I allowed only their films on my desert island, my only concern would be enough projector arc rods (and popcorn).

  • I saw it - for its time was so refreshing I ordered the DVD

  • This movie was on TV in England on Sunday 27th Feb 2011 at about 3pm - channel 5 I think it was. I only caught the last 1/2 but it was good.
