Did anyone else recognize the music during the Citi Corp ad? It's the theme song to the soap opera Texas, which sadly only ran for about 2 and 1/2 years. Interesting that they would use that theme song for their commercial.

When was this taped? October '87 by chance? Reason I'm asking is that there had been a "bounceback week" after two declining weeks w/ stock market, right before black monday crash. Love the mueslix commercial. Prob one of the most original cereal commercials. Thanks for posting this!

I am gonna take a shot that it was November 2,1987, knowing that Black Monday was October 19, and another rout happened the following Monday.... unlike todays market, where we see a rout EVERY DAY....

Ah...I think You & btm85bubs may be right (I know he proposed that date as well). That makes sense, given that the market was continously falling. Actually, a lot of stuff happened in that same time period..Baby Jessica, and Nancy Reagan found out She had cancer..all w/in a few weeks! Kind of a strange month!
