When I hear this song and other Evanescence music, it gives me hope for mainstream music. Their is still a bit of individuality and creativity in mainstream rock. This is a wonderful bit of composing and lyric and a great performance. This is a sad song but it doesn't make me sad. I just sit back and reflect on my life, on the choices I've made and will make in the future. I think they achieved the effect they wanted perfectly with this. Beautiful.
