Its these sorts of women that give genuine belly dancers today a bad name by mocking the art form. Having said that its good to see normal women seen as beautiful of all shapes and sizes.

"These sorts" are the uneducated women who move in such a way purely to entertain men. Theres nothing wrong with that except belly dance was made by women for women. It is thanks to these women that a lot of belly dancers today are misconstrued as strippers.

Watch some belly dance videos and you will know what I mean.

I agree with your point, but Burlesque & belly dancing are two different styles. Like Rap has "Old school" , "Hip Hop" & " Gangster". A true fan of each can appreciate the difference. Both styles take an increadable amount of practice & skill. Belly dancing makes you appreciate the dance and the ability of the dancer. Burlesque is meant to excite and arouse. All shapes I agree, 1,000% but she must be toned & Balanced.
