im kind of a noob just tryin out some mapping. Now i faced that bridge problem and my idea was exactly what you describe there but i thought it was too primitive, good to see it works like that :D
When you go up the small mountain to go across the bridge, you can go on and off the bridge freely once "Walk on Bridge" is set to on. This can be fixed by copying and pasting the bridge again on the bottom and top and changing the graphic to none. Make sure that when you set that switch on for the top and bottom, that you change 'below characters' to 'same as characters'
And when you want to get back on the ground, you can still go over the bridge. This is also simple, just change that simple event that turns "WOB" on, and then do this. Instead of Control Switches as the first line, put conditional branch on it. and make it do If player facing up, control switch WOB. And else would be turning that switch off.
A really simple trick that'll make peoples games a lot better. I'm glad you're having more people learn about this. It can make for REALLY interesting things.
@TheGOffice I am not very familiar with how to get fog effects into a game. There are certain scripts for that, but none of which I have found useful. As for Day and Night, there is a system setup through common events created by Grafikal007 that I use in a game that I am currently working on. It is very helpful and easy to use. I'll put the url in the description of this video.
Awesom and clear, thanks!

That's good, but two things,
When you go up the small mountain to go across the bridge, you can go on and off the bridge freely once "Walk on Bridge" is set to on. This can be fixed by copying and pasting the bridge again on the bottom and top and changing the graphic to none. Make sure that when you set that switch on for the top and bottom, that you change 'below characters' to 'same as characters'
(Part Two is a reply)
