Wow; memories; I saw this guy in Bunters in Liverpool on 7th July 1984(I think). We actually got to meet him backstage too. He had a huge buffet laid on for guests, and me and my friend sat on his knees and got our photo taken with him. Great stuff!! He was fab, a real funny and warm person:)

I've read the book "My Son, Divine" which is a remarkable history and insight about who Harris Glenn Milstead really was. The book was written by his mother Francis Milstead. This isn't too surprising - both tracks were produced by the legendary Stock/Aitken/Waterman team and you are quite right - when Pete Burns from Dead or Alive heard this in 1984, he contacted S/A/W right away to have them produce their next album, Youthquake and the rest is, as they say, history
