  • Great playing,

    Thanks, Hashi

  • It's a traditional CANADIAN fiddle tune.....

Mr. Boucher sure does it justice, tho..

Search youtube for Saint Anne's Reel, and fill yer boots. *G*.

  • Fun tune. I wonder why it was called "Celte" when it sounds more like some American redneck hoedown.

  • ha ha, good question Buller... the Celtic influence would have travelled south with the Acadians to eventually become what you call A/R .... I see you have McNabb's copy as a fave, so you obviously like it too. :)♫♪♫♪

  • @Bullerias

The origins of the "hoedown" you describe are in Celtic music, found all over Europe. American bluegrass is simply one of the more recent developments.

  • 5 stars also for the artist, who made this guitar!

another application of this (or similar) guitar of the "Donja" series:

we have been using this extremely easygoing and powwerful sounding guitars handcrafted by Joachim Schneider (and now his son) for decades to play baroque music ;-)) .

  • Remi Boucher came to Costa Rica last year, and he gave a wonderful recital. I also attended his masterclass at UCR. He commands a masterful technique and musical approach with a great personality, always kind and humble.

  • He's one of my favorites--incredible chops and musicianship. Do you have video of him playing Bach's Chaconne? I have the audio, but a video would be better.

  • Remi, this is amazing.

I'v watched this video several times and every time. I'm still in trance. WOW

Thanks for sharing. Greetings from Holland. Jan
