Hey, here is how I did:

1. Record my vocal only (without instrumental track)

2. Mix with instrumental track later

You can record your vocal only by listening to the instrumental via a headset... I usually record the video at the same time, and extract the vocal from the video because my webcam seems to have a nice microphone :)

Hope that helps.. Are you a girl or guy since I can't tell from your name :)
