I found a great fabric to make the purse organizer....the fabric that they use to cover patio furniture!!! I made one a year ago but even though I put in a stiffening fabric, it was floppy. This fabric is stiff so stands up by itself. No need to put a stiff fabric between so it is easier to sew.

Sometimes it's called "web." You need "fusible web" for this. Comes in both woven and non-woven varieties. If a fabric shoppe carries fabric for suits and blazers, they oughta to have some. At my local shoppe, it hides under the cutting counter and you have to ask for it.

I MADE TWO!!! I love it sooo much. It was so easy to make. Originally, I was going to make only one, but then I had extra fabric leftover, so I made a smaller one for makeup :D

Have you seen the clear plastic totes/purses, that have colourful organizers inside sold as a kit?

I use a fanny pack with wallet, keys, cell, kleenex pack, lip balm, pens/pencils, notebook, bills, mini flashlight/lanyard, hand lotion etc.

My other purse is my backpack on a frame, with my lunch, watercolour paper pad, watercolour pencils, mini watercolours, brushes, water, paper towels, poncho, graphite, "view frame", sketchbook, thermos/tea, socks, first aid kit, I have to buy bear spray.
