I had trouble editing Sony Webbie HD footage with Adobe Premiere Elements 4. It doesn't support mt2s format, though I read there's a download to fix it. But, I'd rather have a program that works right out of the box, so I bought Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9 and see if that's any better. Should work since it's Sony for Sony.
I'm experimenting with HD too. I need to upgrade my edit software and possibly get a more powerful computer. Dealing with AVCHD and mt2s is a pain. I've got the new Sony Webbie HD, but am considering the Canon HV30 for more reliable tape archiving.
What kind of file does this record in?

Mov. And it uses a lot of MB.This was uploaded without editing.
The editing software converts into Mepg4 and adds the Pillarbox effect.
Still trying to work it out
